Preview has been released:
https://previewsworld.com/Catalog/Prevue/FEB220408 Looking at the table of contents compared to the solicitation, there's been a huge number of changes: the "fourth wall-breaking short story" by Larry Hama doesn't appear to be included, the "stories and essays by creators who were influenced by Hama" have been reduced to a single essay by Chad Bowers, and a reprint of the original #21 has been added. |

Seems cool enough. I suspect it will automatically appear in my Comixology account as part of my ARAH subscription.

I saw on that link above it says this is supposed to be in shops last week, April 6th. So has this already hit comic book shops? When would I be able to run down to my local comic book store and grab one of these?

"G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero issue #21, ?Silent Interlude,? is not only one of the most recognized G.I. Joe issues, but one of the most famous comics of all time. Its groundbreaking use of art to tell a story with no dialogue or captions has become a touchstone in the history of comics, referenced in countless subsequent homages. Along with the original issue, a new interpretation is included with 22 different artists doing a single page, including Rob Liefeld, Tim Lattie, Netho Diaz, Kei Zama, Antonio Fuso, Robert Atkins, Tom Feister, Maria Keane, and more! G.I. Joe legend Larry Hama also provides a new short story where he interacts with some of the classic characters you know and love! Bonus content includes notes from creators detailing the influence and legacy G.I. Joe and Larry Hama have had on them and the comics world in general. Also included will be a gallery of the best covers and classic interior pages, along with full issues including the premiere issue that started it all!" |

Just picked up my copies and its a really great issue. Love all of the artwork. Nostalgia kicked in hard with this one.

They just keep milking that wordless issue for all it's worth.

Got it and Saturday Morning Adventures #2 today.
Overpriced, but nice. Adam Riches' page 9 is my favorite. He has Destro's chess pieces O-ring Joes! |
