I respect that approach. I was planning to stop being negative in my online posts but then I saw the Snake Eyes movie and DC started putting out some really bad Batman titles. My two favorite comic book characters maligned and I went full bore negative. Need to start meditating or something.

Geez, I guess maybe I?m more forgiving. I gave up on ARAH probably around issue 170, but then I got back into it during COVID. With such small print runs, it can be hard to find back issues or even TPBs. So, I agree with almost all the complaints, but I?m still happy to have ARAH and I hope Hama can wrap up this run well.

Reading this title is a choice. Is it off the wall and cause a bit of head-scratching at times? Yep. Am I weary of Blue Ninjas, Dawn, forgotten plot points, etc? Check. But at the same time, I look back at the classic Marvel run and remember how I was turned off by things like Mutant plant spores, Slam-Dance in the Silent Castle, three stooges look-alike Vipers or Tony Salmons’ art. Is the story where I would take it if I was the writer? Nope. But I guess that leaves me surprised sometimes, and I?m ok with that. I choose to be when I make the decision to buy each issue. And final note?I agree with getting Whigham and Mushynsky back in this book even for an issue or two. Nuff said! Last edited by Aisle7C; 02-26-2022 at 04:24 PM.. |

Lets see. I'll switch this up and start with the positive.
* I do enjoy the idea of a casino..very 80's but it makes sense and the staffing idea works for me also * The overall story, the fight scene was rather entertaining... ok that's it. Now the Negative. * Blue Ninjas...again..and COBRA doesn't see the issue with doing biz with them ....again. This seems like something they should buy from Destro or a new seller to give MARS are run..Even if it was Destros Cousin. * Dawn and Helix= yawn. *Why did they not think driving around in full gear(How do you drive with dual swords on your back) in a Vamp in broad daylight not garner attention * The whole cop thing was unneeded. (hama poor attempt at comic relief. old gag like when he did it with the southern cops) * Can Mindbender wear his lab jacket. doesn't he ever get cold? * The crimson guard makes no sense as his personal whatever unless they made her do ummm Crimson Guard sh*t. Weren't Crimson Guards the lawyers etc of the Cobra branch. Have her with a tablet assessing budget or something. legalities ..then it would make sense to have a Crimson Guard. * BLUE NINJAS= GAG!!!!!! Unpopular opinion. can we get a new writer...please

As a regular reader who hasn't completely hated the Blue Ninjas, this needs to be the resolution to their storyline.
Destro already obliterated them. They were on the cusp of forever being resolved. I was hoping the Blue Ninjas could be used to resolve the mystery of Tommy's father's identity. However we did just get the line about him having passed away when Tommy was young, so if that's just it for that character I'll accept it as a complete answer. Before they're gone the only remaining answer I need is why they're even ninjas with a yellow hexagram and a rivalry with the Russian Arashikage. I will accept a simple statement at this point since the ostensible countdown to the end is so near. Now, Cobra is manufacturing them and putting them into every country they can get a casino into. Hopefully this attempt ends up backfiring and wiping them all out, including Alpha. Do we think Mindbender isn't planning for their betrayal? Maybe this can be the plot device to end Cobra's storyline as well, and tie up the whole series. Running out of time here. If IDW loses the license at the end of 2020 it doesn't seem logical that we'll see a #300 at all, unless they can keep producing the comics they made before the license transfer is complete.

We should see #300 in November, if IDW sticks to its publishing schedule. Comixology shows #290 on 3/16, #291 on 3/30, and #292 on 4/6. Three issues in less than a month. I'm not seeing #293 but I do see #294 on 5/25. So if #295 is in June, #296 in July, etc., we'll likely see #300 in November.
