This issue was once again proving Hama needs a editor. His dialogue..ouch. Who talks like that in a real situation.
Order: Only a bad ass green beret would go through this bog. Another example: When i was in the 3rd band..they called me fast draw...( during the high-speed chase being shot at) smh..just eye - rolling work. And can we get rid of the artist..please

Another example: When i was in the 3rd band..they called me fast draw...( during the high-speed chase being shot at) smh..just eye - rolling work. And can we get rid of the artist..please I loved Kewber Baals art. I thought the faces and characters were always in model, the action scenes were well staged, the military hardware was realistic, and he got creative with the panel layouts on several pages. Both his art and Hana?s writing made Falcon come off great. I?ve gone on the record as saying I love Snake-Eyes, but I?m kinda sick of him. Hama can sort of recreate that magic with a character like Falcon here, amd he did a good job of it, without making him a complete Mary Sue. I think your point about the dialogue is valid, but I didn?t see too many instances of it, and I feel like that?s kind of a hallmark of Hama?s Joe; he?s writing these action tales with a broad audience in mind, so often times he?s forced to do a lot of exposition. I guess it violates the ?show, don?t tell? rule, but I I think he?s letting the reader know that not only is falcon a bad-a##, all green berets inspire that awe. I loved getting to see the special warfare museum, but I also thought the dialogue there was a little jarring. Falcon?s dad was a green beret (that?s good), but dad died from agent orange exposure (that?s bad), and the government never accepted responsibility for that (that?s bad). To me, those bads we were given don?t add up to Falcon wanting to follow in his dad?s bootstreps. If Hama wanted to shed led on agent orange or the VA I would have liked something Falcon saying how much he admired his dad, and the tour guide saying something like ?glad he did ok. A lot of those guys died from agent orange, but Uncle Sam never acknowledged it? I also like the fact that they pointed out he was an ROTC guy. I get sick of every officer being West Point, top of his class. I believe you can?t commission right into Special Forces, so I?d also like to learn what Falcon did before, although I suspect in the GI Joe world he did in fact go straight to Special Forces?it would be pretty weird if Captain Falcon?s code name was Lieutenant Falcon. I?ll have to read the issue again amd maybe check out my back issues. I obviously recognized law and order, but the other two soldiers I didn?t recognize. I liked that they called themselves by last names (except the one instance of Fast Draw?who I didn?t know was a character.) Covers. I like the giant wrap around coverA we?ve been getting, and I love Crimson Guards amd BATS?but it still kind of bugs me when the cover has nothing to do with the book. I love cover B (also by Baal ), and I wish that?s the one I?d gotten. I really thought this was a solid issue, and I hope this means we?ll be seeing more of Lt Falcon. This was another "story I never knew that I always wanted". Great to see some background on Falcon. Like VXC said, he was presented as a real bad-*ss, and not the random face-in-the-crowd he's been for most of his ARAH life.
The slimy executive types who "recruited" the guys for the GI Joe Team... were they based off of somebody in the "real world"? Their facial features seemed to get a lot of focus and detail, so I'm curious.

They’re based off of the same characters that appeared in issue 60.
