what are some of the older issues from issues 1 to 60 of the old Marvel Comics G.I. Joe comic book? My personal favorites are from when i was a kid back in the day
Issues 48 to 55 were my personal favorites because of how dark some of the stories were |

Idk if this qualifies as an answer, but I LOVE Special Missions - like the very first arc too. Always been keen on those sub-comics that dispose of lore-heavy stories and just throw you right into self-contained action.

#34 was a gift in more ways than one. I didn't have a comic shop to go to as a kid and only picked up an occasional issue at grocery/convenience stores. I always seemed to miss chapters for multiple part stories, but that dogfight is still one of the best done in ones.
Anybody know where to find a reading order that includes the Special Missions and Yearbook stories? |

I always loved issue #25. Zartan was a favorite, the cover was amazing, and my brother bought me that issue.
Issue #11 was another personal favorite, and it had a cool commercial. |

Issue 50 is a special one for me. It is the first Joe book I bought. I didn't even know they existed until that point. Aside from that, issues 21, 26 and 27 and 155 are high on my favs list

7 was my first comic EVER. I still have my tattered copy, which I had Larry Hama sign. I will never forget the image of the two Cobra Soldiers being torn apart by the cannons on the Vamp. It showed me a completely different side of G.I. Joe than I had seen before.
That issue effected my life profoundly. Without it, I wouldn’t have written G.I. Joe books or the comics that I have written. The image of Grunt’s nightstand and the pic with all his teammates made a deep impression on me as well and impacted my wedding. |

Obviously Silent Interlude #21.
I agree with Ace versus Wild Weasel in issue #34. Snake Eye's Origin in #26 and #27. The Oktober Guard issue #6 was one of my first and favs. Baroness' supposed death in #16. Anytime there were attacks on a base like on the Pit in #19 and again in #53 and of course the Cobra Island arc culminating with the Attack on Springfield in #50.
