It was ok—I enjoyed it more than the last issue. I thought the art was a little off—but, it’s just not the style I prefer which is ok.

I enjoyed the issue more than I thought I would as I'm indifferent on Law & Order. Had it been a more popular character I probably would have felt more of a connection. We saw the OG Snake Eyes again, albeit very briefly.
I really do enjoy Brian Shearer's art, but he's not the right fit for ARAH in my opinion. For a one off it doesn't bother me. All good! |

I thought Law looked like Dick Tracey’s profile early on when he was petting Order, heh. Side note: Law licked (slurped?!) Order on the last page?! Freakin’ gross!

eh, it was ok. I like to see focus on lesser used characters, so that was a plus. And it wasn't blue ninjas or granny ninjas or fake eyes ninjas, so that was a plus.
What is with those black flag comics "gym" cover varients? LOL, those were lame af.

I really liked this issue. I love it when we see lesser-used Joes doing what they are trained to do. In this case, provide security.
I also appreciated that the Cobras were doing what they were trained for. The Toxo-Viper doing his thing, the Techno-Viper doing his thing, and the Night Vipers doing theirs. Well designed story, well executed. Perseverance instead of panic through mortal danger to save the lives of his friends. That is the love and heroism of a Real American Hero, and a Real K9 Hero. |

I prefer Hama's solo/special missions type stories to his recent ongoing storylines.

issue 277
Cool, we have a distinct mention of when this issue takes place. That raises the level of importance of the events of 200, which felt like they should have had more lasting repercussions than we actually saw. First visual impression: if you're going to do a Law and Order issue finally maybe pick an artist who really loves drawing dogs? The first page dog is realistic, then the second page goes from more of a cartoon to eventually just a rough sketch. Okay so Law is going to be up against larger numbers and he's not very well armed. Seeing him injured then quickly down to his sidearm is a fast way to endear the reader to him. Order chooses saving his master over alerting the team. They're very isolated. Brief firefight. The Cobras retreat once then are taken out. What's up with Order surviving the gas? Was he in the Techno-Viper helmet? Anyway it was nice to see the relationship between canine and master expanded upon. Fun little issue. I think the little untold tales will all be fun little forgettable stories but this one was better than the last. I'm excited to see a snow Joes issue again although curious why Cover Girl would be in an arctic environment and excited to see Low-Light in the cold. Is it an artic assassination mission? Also will be cool to see Blizzard again since he redefined himself as THE arctic ass-kicker the last time we saw him. Letters page: wow this is maybe the most standout terrible letter to the Postbox I've ever read. Yeesh.
