Hisstankers!
Just wanted to drop in and throw a HUGE THANKS your way. Our "Dawn of the Arashikage" arc has been a massive success, selling out consistently and getting a lot of positive press (and new fans), and I know we don't get to that point without the support of our longtime, hardcore readers. You know, we may not all agree on things when it comes to the stories being told in A REAL AMERICAN HERO (or things in general, for that matter), but I think we're all on the same page when it comes to wanting JOE comics to succeed and flourish, and I'm confident we're heading in a good direction right now. Look for a special over-sized issue #250, concluding the "Dawn" arc, and then a very cool #251, which kicks off an arc of stories folks have been asking for. Fans spoke up, we listened, and Larry and some uber talented artists are getting ready to rock and roll. And G.I. JOE: A REAL AMERICAN HERO vs. THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN is balls crazy and something you don't want to pass up, trust me. Look for that first issue to drop in stores 2/21/18. Talk soon... Tom W. |

Is Midtown Comics in NYC carrying this run? They haven’t had it recently at their Grand Central location.

Thanks Tom. I'm interested in seeing where the title goes from here. I love change, and seeing my favorites grow and evolve. I have been moved by the aftermath of the death of Snake-Eyes and would rather see his legacy characters continue on instead of ever seeing him back.

I don't have as much familiarity with the 155+ issues as I do with the old issues because I haven't reread them as much, but I've been reading GiJoe since 1987 and am very pleased with it now. Overall I prefer more military action and espionage but the ninja stuff is fine when it has substance and right now Sean and Dawn are bringing more to the table than anything happening on the military side. I do hope that the team takes focus again after 150. |
