Nice covers. I really hope the story is just as good.

Part of me wants it to be.
Hear me out; I'm... tired of this. The IDW Joes. The Hamaverse is borked like no other to me, anymore; Gods in military bases? Snake-Eyes dead? Random psychic machines and robots? I know the Joeverse should be military fantasy, but this is just... not? And the IDW Originals? I mean, I think that speaks for itself. I recall many, many, many people and sites disliking the initial Chuck Dixon work, and then the Snake-Eyes series was probably the worst mini-series I have ever had the displeasure of reading- Snakes was BARELY in it, compared to the Cobra series retread, and there were solicits of Snake running into the Joes that didn't happen? I mean, what in the world is the point of putting Snake with the snakes if you're not going to get any story out of that? Just awful. Awful. Let it be done. Start over in a few months, with either new writers, or best case, a new company. I love the characters Hama created. I appreciate IDW for trying to keep Joes in the comic spotlight. I love the intent, but the final product has me off of Joe comics, something that hasn't happened, barring any lack in publication, since the Devil's Due back in, what, 2001? |

Don't let #225 be the end, until you bring back Snake Eyes.

Hate to see it end.. But hate where it's going. Wish they would start fresh with 1-2 issue story lines. Keep it in the real world. Weird science BS is ridicules. All the hot spots firing up through out the world, I'm sure a few months of stories could tie into that alone. Doesn't have to be just Cobra. You have terrorist groups, Cold War flaring up again. Plenty of stuff to feed off of. Haven't picked up an issue in the last 4 months.. My 2 cents

Not this guy too...the "UNREALISTIC" approach is working? Guess it's all a matter of opinion.

Hama's always been quick to point that "realism" in a comic book is an oxymoron.
I'm 50/50 on hoping it's the end. Due to the modern pace of comics, there seems to have been less energy in the stories, since the re-launch. Of course, in the 80's, the book was there to sell toys, so they had to cram as much stuff as possible into it, creating that higher energy. Overall, I've enjoyed the relaunch stories, though. The missions to Trucial Abysmia, Sierra Gordo and Olliestan (when Dr. Burkhart bought it) were enjoyable. It's nice to see Hama adding to the story... but is it his best stuff? Probably not. A half-a**ed Hama is probably better than some whole-a**ed modern writers.
