So if he's actually permanently dead--yeah, that's sad. He was a great tragic hero. Not like Hasbro won't be cranking out plenty more SE figures though, right? hehe, beat me to it.

Only old-foggy collectors and uber-fans seem tired and "done" with snake eyes.

I have to say that this ARAH comic has taken a unbelievable turn for the WORST! I hope IDW and L Hama are reading these messages. In my early 40s and have been a fan since issue #1. This alien eye, these blue Ninjas, and 3 story robots, controlled by Joes old dead enemy, has me contiplating giving up on this comic. It's time to change it up, bring back SOME REAL STORY LINES. If not, bring back stuff like old school SPECIAL MISSIONS SERIES. All the hot spots in the world give ample stories... N Korea, Mid East, Africa..doesn't have to be a battle with Cobra all the time or robot ninjas! IDW take note of what your fans/customers are saying...
And put Cobra Commander back in his old uniform.. The corny beret and mustache look makes him look like a 70s porn star for gosh sake!! |

I have no problem with characters dying. But the thing that bothers me is that even before Snake Eyes is even gone, he has a replacement right there, ready to take over. It's like SE is nothing more than a tattoo, a burned face, and a black mask.

Somehow I don't think SE is truly gone. He is one of the most recognizable characters in the brand. Like many of you, I really liked him as a commando, but not so much when he became an uber-ninja.

Remember when we all thought Sneak Peak was dead?

The problem is not if he's really dead or not.
The ARAH series runs to the shit (robots, Roadblock!? and the remote control, the big alien eye, etc.). I do not want to buy this crap anymore. Thank You.

While I can definitely say there's room for improvement in the current stint of ARAH, I can't say I'm that surprised. I love Hama with all the heart of a kid who grew up on and cherished the Marvel run could. Honestly though everything since the relaunch has kinda fell in the same "questonable grey area of taste" as the last 20 issues or so of the Marvel run.I support the book and enjoy it's high points more than brood over its lows. This story might be the lowest which I can only hope is balanced by a propotional high point when the only a matter of time "Ressurection of Snake Eyes" story is told.
