Iron Grenadier Destro is by far, the coolest looking of the bunch in this wave. He is all new with the same head sculpt, but this time it's been metalized in a gold color. The detail on this figure is great and makes this figure look like a great update of the original with a few surprises the original didn't have. The left leg sports a holster with rubber flap to hold in the revolver and the removable belt with sword sheath can store the removable sword. Destro comes with Revolver, Belt, Sword and Cobra Stand.
Finally! A removable sword! It's been a constant thorn in my side that the original V2 Destro had a sword that was forever confined to it's sheath, but now not only do we get a great update to that figure, we now have a properly working sword for him to use. I'm not too big on the gold revolver and the cloth cape can get in the way a bit, but it's still cooler looking than the scrap of material we got with the original. If you're a fan of the Iron Grenadiers, this Destro's for you. Figure Rating: 10 out of 10 Last edited by Shogi; 08-31-2011 at 06:15 PM.. |

Great review Shogi!
Yes, by far one of the best in the line so far. If you don't have one, you NEED one! Last edited by foor; 10-20-2008 at 11:23 AM.. |

This is an excellent figure, by any standards. I just never liked the original, or the Battle Armor CC.
I only display my definitive versions of figures, and this one never did it for me. Although I agree, that it's a great update and sculpt, right up there with Battle Armour CC. The one consistent aesthetic flaw besides Duke arms in this line is that they use real cloth for capes, which at this scale, looks silly. They don't do it for loin cloths and long "skirts" on jackets, for some reason...I'd much rather see molded, lightweight rubber/plastic capes like Marvel Legends Thor/Magneto/etc. That's about the only improvement they could make to this Destro. |

I always thought this figure was cool as a kid, but never had him. When I finally got the old one in lot with misc. other 'Joes, I too thought it was dumb that he came with a sword that he couldn't use. Now that I have this one I think it's a MUCH improved update to the orginal. Now, here's hoping they re-release his vehicle too!
~Collector-Viper (P.S.): Hey, has anyone tried to put this figure inside the Destro's Despoiler vehicle? If he can fit inside that, I'll TOTALLY look to score one on the secondary market. |

had to do some creative safety pinning to get that cape under control...i do so hate soft goods on a figure....but other than that a phenominal figure. 9/10 (damn you soft cape!)
