I was taking pictures this afternoon and my battery died. By the time it charged, it had already gone dark. I'll be doing additional photography Saturday and adding to the pictures.
I present to you my Custom HiSS Tank entry: Road Pig's B.O.S.S. (Brutal Offensive Strike Sentry) Left for scrap on the battlefield, this damaged HiSS was claimed by the Dreadnok Road Pig. With some assistance from Thrasher, he got the tank running. The rest he patched up and modified to his liking. Along with the HiSS, Thrasher found a severely damaged B.A.T. With a little Dreadnok ingenuity, he got the thing working and it now serves as Road Pig's gunner. (Heck, none of the other Dreadnoks wanted to be that close the Road Pig, so the match up came naturally.) Road Pig Trivia: He was born in Goblu, Michigan. "Goblu" is a fictional city referencing the Michigan Wolverines, as in "Go Blue". Road Pig's bio indicates he was a former football player having been kicked off a his team for unnecessary roughness. My version of Road Pig still wears his old football jersey. Still a Wolverine at heart, he proudly displays his colors and often reminisces of his football career cut short. The number "74" just references the birth year I share with Mutt7000, a Wolverines fan. Note the saw blades that hide underneath. The number "108" is a mystical number referencing the "wholeness of the universe". I thought it appropriate that the number would be purposely defaced. The saw blades swivel out to either take down enemy personnel, trees, or other vehicles! Although DeLuca is from Michigan, I just picture him as a big brutish redneck. So I thought his vehicle should represent his brutish, chauvinist streak. Note his bumper stickers and mudflaps... The rear attack launchers come in handy when dealing with tailgaters! The Dreadnoks tried dressing the B.A.T. a bit more like them... Thrasher replaced the B.A.T.'s power core with something a bit more conventional. Road Pig isn't complete without his cinder block hammer. (Scratchbuilt using 1/8" ABS and a carbon fiber rod.) Last edited by Bamphalas; 09-27-2008 at 03:13 PM.. |

Various close up shots showing details on the B.O.S.S. The mudflaps were created using black canvas and reflective vinyl. Road pig mounted huge steel spikes on the front of the B.O.S.S. Ideal for driving through wildlife and especially Joes! If I make it to the top three, please vote for me! Last edited by Bamphalas; 09-27-2008 at 03:42 PM.. |
