This one is easy for me.
The thing that annoys me the most is when people laugh at things in a movie that aren't funny at all. What I mean by this is that the makers of the film meant for the scenes to be funny, so this is why people are laughing. My problem with this is that those people (the film makers and movie goers who laugh) have no idea what funny is. Please don't think that I'm being arrogant over this. I will try to explain. One movie that I can think of was "Head Of State" with Chris Rock. There is a scene in that movie with a whole bunch of old white politicians dancing and signing to hip-hop music. The whole scene is silly, stupid, and ridiculous. It is definately not funny, but that is just my opinion. I understand why that scene is there though, and why the people who did laugh at it thought it was funny. The problem lies with Hollywood trying to cater to a broader audience in order to put more asses in the seats. Some films might relate to one race or another, or to a certain sex or age group, so they put things into some movies with the hopes that people outside the target audience will like it as well. It's like what they do with cartoons so that the adult audience will understand some things that would otherwise go right over a child's head. If you ever watched "Looney Toons" or "Tiny Toons" you will know exactly what I mean. Maybe I'm looking way too much into this, but the whole laughing at stupid things has kept me out of the theater for comedies. I now only go to see action adventure and sci-fi flicks.

People who... talk to the screen, do the play by play thing or comment on everything they see. Talk about how unrealistic/unbelievable/silly something is when they are watching something like "Hancock" or even worse "Up" a freaking cartoon! Talk in loud whispers punctuated by loud grumpy outbursts of "What?!" Rattle around with their plastic candy wrappers and bags of chips they snuck into the theater to save a couple of dollars.
I'm talking of course about my parents. The most annoying thing about going to the movies is when you have to drag Grandma and Grandpa along. I'd give them a break if it was just the old age thing, but they've always been like that during movies. :( |

1. The 1st time I saw Revenge of the Fallen I went to the 11am show. The actual movie didn't start until 11:17. 17 minutes of friggin trailers that I don't care about!
2. Seeing the same trailer in front of every movie I go to see. If I see the trailer for "9" one more time I'm gonna lose it. I've been sitting through that stupid ass trailer all summer long. No matter how many times they show that trailer I'm still not going to see it. That movie looks dumb as hell. I'll never be interested in a movie about potato sacks that come to life. Wish I could fast forward through that damned thing. |

you mean outside of the ridiculous cost. the teenagers, the asses that talk the whle movie, people munchin on there popcorn, peoples cell phone, people, assholes kicking the back of m chair, people, people that bring there little ones into the theatre, people. i thin the biggest problem is just PEOPLE.
i found a way round all these problems though. i go to the first showing of a movie on sunday. ussually between 10 and 11am. nobodies really there. i went and saw district 9 today at 1115am and theres was maybe 15 people in the theatre. it was awesome. i actually got to enjoy a movie and the ticket only cost 5 bucks.
