Well looks like GI JOE is slowing down now that wednesday hit. It could be that a lot of schools are back in session, or just started which means less kids going to the movies.

Weekday takes tend to be a bit slow. Weekends are where the majority of the money is made. It is going to be interesting to see how much GIJOE drops in sales. Sci-fi films typically have a huge dropoff after the first weekend, between 50-70%.
However, this one could be a little different and it doesn't have much competition as District 9 is most likely going to so small numbers at the box office and grow over time and especially on DVD. If it falls any less than 45% from last weekend, then it might have some staying power.... we will see. I am not just talking out of my tush, here is a link to the boxofficeguru backing up my statement... http://www.boxofficeguru.com/weekend.htm

Not bad take at all. But we really don't need one of these for every day.

Weekend Box Office I think ROC is doing very well with its weekday grosses. if it maintains at only a 55% drop this weekend, that is a success for the movie, considering the majority of reviews. |

About what? The fact that it's going to make it's money back with worldwide ticket sales in about a week?

That's a big part of it, but money is money.
