Do you really not know how many cameras you walk across on a given day?
It's a common thing in thrillers/detective and that kind of show/movie/book. ATMs, traffic lights, security cameras... The amount of times you are on camera throughout a normal day is astounding, especially if you're in a major city. show me a flying camera that can follow you from an aerial view hundreds of feet, into a building and up the stairs.. like a tracking camera.. not the camera man filming the movie. |

\ THIS is why I never critiqued ROC against ARAH. My critique was always based on my opinion/thought/etc of what a film should be or can be etc. cuz the cartoon and ROC both have silly stuff, fantastical stuff, etc. see... not sci fi. and no different than the cartoon.

The Reactive Armor and A-Suits are also under development.
There are ALOT of unmanned Recon drones with cameras. When did Breaker have a camera that followed people up stairwells? Confused on that one... But it's possible to follow someone in a building: lobby camera, elevator camera, stairwell camera, corridor cameras, etc..

I hate to tell you this, but GI Joe (comics, cartoons and toys) has almost always been science fiction to one degree or another. Remember the S.N.A.K.E? Or the STUN? How about the Terror Drome? Or the Trouble Bubble? Do you think those things are real world military stuff? No, sir, they are science fiction.
And the plots in both the comics and cartoon were often science fiction too. As early as issue #3, the Joe team was fighting a giant robot in the bowels of the Pitt. And on the cartoon side of things, we can't forget about the M.A.S.S. Device. GI Joe has always and will always have strong sci-fi elements. If you say otherwise, you're just trying to fool yourself. [EDIT: Darn it; others beat me to the punch on this point while I was typing. Ah well.]
