I'm a big fan of the foreign and obscure characters. They're usually the safest bets for figures you know Hasbro aren't going to be making new versions of anytime soon Though Clay Moore was in the 2007 convention set...
At any rate, here's my latest custom. I got a little adventurous with this one, converting a V vs.V Dr. Link Talbot head, (with the use of a Dremel tool.) Overall, I used a Jet Pack Trooper (I cut the mask out of the bigger helmet and repainted the straps), as well as a piece of the strap/grenade and backpack from a 25th Duke figure. Here goes: |

sweet custom! It really does look like claymore! Does a regular trooper's helmet fit?

Thanks Guys!
To answer your question DaViper, no, I tried the regular troop helmet, but it didn't work, and it didn't look "right". So I gave the 2007 convention figure a look, and realized the gasmask-looking helmet could work. It was easily removed with an X-acto knife. |

Nice work! I may just have to borrow that recipe. I like the helmet. Do you know if the VvV Cobra Trooper helmet fits?

Thanks MrClean! No, I cant say I do... For a second I was considering swiping the helmet from a DTC/TRU Cobra Trooper or Major Bludd,(possibly better choices due to the Cobra symbols on them) but I wanted to keep them in package, and the "gasmask" helmet just sorta "grew" on me.
