What is it about the funskool GI Joe's that everybody hates? I've heard it's the quality of the plastic is inferior but honestly I can't tell the difference in quality between the funskool guys and the VvV and Spy Troops stuff.
I have about 8 or 9 funskool figures and think they compliment my vintage line very well. Plus at $3.99 a pop at smalljoes that's pretty hard to beat. I love funskool!!!!!!!!

The colors look like they just slapped them on at random. The plastic is about as good as the stuff you'd find in dollar store toys. They come with random gear. The card art sucks in many cases. I could go on, but I won't.
P.S. I still pick them up cheap when I can. |

I have never purchased one simply because someone told me the plastic was crap. I may just have to pick one up to see for myself.

I have several of these things, including 12 night vipers. Some of them do have weird colors - like the bright orange Wild Bill or the pink Tunnel Rat.

On some I agree with you. I don't think the FS Flint, Quick Kick, Airtight, Deep Six, Ripper and a few others are that bad. Ok, the cards and weapons are cheap but the figures display nice.

The plastic was hit or miss. But I was able to pick up some great vehicles for custom fodder real cheap.

i like the funskool as it is an easy way to build a collection. the early funskool is very nice and some of the hardest to find gi joe items out. like the red suit stalker. they also have 2 cool versions of the vamp. i have one for sale in the link below misb. they also have a cool rescue squad box set which i also have for sale/trade. the funskool items seem to be selling well on evil bay as more people find out about them.
just my 2 cents cheers |

I don't hate them at all, I think they're pretty cool. At best you've got figures like the Crimson Guard Immortal, Hydro-Vipers, and Night-Vipers who are great for cannon fodder. At worst you've got figures like Cross Country, Wild Bill, or Tripwire, who are just hilarious. You win either way.
Funskool kept a lot of us going when Hasbro wasn't making G.I. Joe figures any more... simpler times back then. Justin |

I got one FANG from Small Joes back in 2003 or so and I wish I had ordered more than one. It kept me going until the new FANG came out with the 25th anniversary line...
