The Superion set is a Target exclusive. It was originally supposed to come out in the 25th Universe Classics line but because of the movie it was axed but now released in the movie line as an exclusive. Its basically a repaint of the Energon combiner to look more G1ish in colors.I hope they bring out some classic Joe figures as movie exclusives as well Last edited by Bionic Commando; 05-30-2009 at 02:24 PM.. |

I saw a bunch today. I only grabbed a measly $5 legends Jetfire. I saw no The Fallen or target exclusives. I only have a few figures altogether:
Legends Starscream (small, movie colors) Legends Soundwave (blue spaceship type thingy) Legends Jetfire TF1 movie voyager Starscream Voyager First Strike Optimus Prime in G1 colors Universe Deluxe Starscream (the newer one) Universe Deluxe Cyclonus

Grabbed Soundwave, Starscream, and Fallen over the course of Friday and Saturday. Starscream is fantastic, and fixes every problem that plagued the 2007 version.

Fallen was tough to find.i passed on him when I first saw one (there were tons at a local target) but then my son saw him on-line and really really wanted him... but he was gone. A nice target employee went and found a box in back and brought it out for me. Thanks Target. (I also think the Robot Replicas are a lot better this time around.Hasbro went all out on the articulation for them this time and the StarScream/IronHide/Skids I picked up are pretty cool)

For a while, I had "TF2 LEADER STARSCREAM" as part of my profile over there. I was joyful when I heard confirmation. Sol said that the fighter mode is very sleek, and that the arm cannons from the CGI model are present(that crossbow looking thing on the left forearm from the movie model). I don't plan on getting the Robot Replicas but they look awesome. They are the most accurate robot mode figures from the movie line. I'd be tempted to pick them up to use for reference in illustrations. Hasbro did an excellent job. The notable ones are Ironhide and Megatron. |

Oh yeah, and Stratosphere, voyager Megatron, and Mixmaster were sighted yesterday too. I haven't seen them in person but there has been more than 1 report, with pics.
The Fallen looks awesome, I prefer the toy over the CGI model. Weird huh? Stratosphere looks great, except the gun which was a shuttle from Armageddon was eliminated before production. Voyager Megatron looks good too. |

I spotted a few of the new Transformers at Target today. My first and favorite Autobot, Sideswipe was there, but if it didn't have his name printed on the label, I would never have known it was him. I understand they have to go all movie on him. I know he has to be all spikey and steel looking because that's the movie style. Believe me, I'm still working on getting used to the movie's anti-classic designs. But why couldn't he have at least been RED? Was that too much to ask?

I had a blast Friday and Saturday with all the Transformers I got. There are some really great figures in this line if you like the movie style. Leader Class Prime is one of the best Transformers to come out in awhile with the only real down sides to him are the swords storage, the panels on the arms near the swords, and if you don't like very complex transformations.
My best haul was at TRU which had just about everything out. It was the only place in Savannah that had the wave 2 Deluxe and Robot Replicas. It also had Stratosphere, Voyager Megatron, Mixmaster, and the only Fallen I saw (and bought). If you are looking for movie figures and have a TRU near by I would suggest looking there first. It was well worth the long ass drive I made to get there, although Superion was the main reason I went along with the fact my Wal-Mart didn't have Voyagers on Friday. So far I have: Scout: Knock Out Rollbar Dirt Boss Dead End (Detour) Depthcharge Ransack Deluxe: Preview Bumblebee Soundwave Rampage Sideswipe Sideways Breakaway Skids Smokescreen Chromia Wheelie Voyager: Starscream Ironhide Demolishor Fallen Megatron Mixmaster Stratosphere Leader: Optimus Prime Megatron Target Exclusive: Superion I'm skipping most of ROC but will get a few but I imagine it will be very much like both TF movie releases. If you want a lot save now. Opening so many toys at one time is a great feeling and this many releases at one time don't happen very often.
