You're right there. Women are not allowed in the Infantry or Special Forces. To my knowledge, women are not allowed to command an Infantry or Special Forces unit b/c they aren't even allowed to be trained in those fields.

And what would stop Hawk from somehow being forced, coerced, blackmailed or driven to switch sides if something big enough happened? People betray their countries for many reasons, very important and powerful people at that. I'm sure in his storyline there's a good reason for it.

That would make sense, but you never know with all the women in high power psotions in the governemnt these days irecting our military :0
To bad the government does not understand that rationale, there is a reason they are not in those units because the work they do would be just too much for them. They would have to be insane or a couple of cans short of a 6 pack to break that far from thier natrual tendcies to be a carring nuturing half of the species. Not saying they could not have the brains to do it, just the fortitude to deal with the outcomes of the operations. And from a phsyclogical stand point, I don't think many women would even want to partake in those endevorus unless they were totally phsycotic which then again puts the entire team at risk due to the mental challenges such an indivdual would cause. You would have to be like the baroness to handle the stress... |

Personally I think it's more to do with men being overprotective of women in dangerous situations and their natural instinct to protect would override their combat senses/training and put the units at risk.

I can see that in regular units, but in a special forces unit or Seal team? I doubt that, they would just leave her on the tarmac before they flew out.
There's only 4 females that stand out to me and that is Covergirl (only see her in the lab and driving the Wolverine), Lady Jay, Scarlett and the Baroness...not many female cobras of notiriatey....makes me wonder about her...was she really a man??! The world may never know! |
