I'm hoping they'll make a Masterpiece IronHide and Ratchet. And an actual scale SoundWave that will hold real cassettes. A 4-pack of Rumble & LaserBeak and their repaints, Frenzy & Buzzsaw. |

I heard back in late 2003, on the website TFW2005, that VolksWagon wouldn't okay the rights for Hasbro to make an Alternator BumbleBee based on the VW Bug. So unfortunately, I doubt we'll see a Masterpiece BumbleBee. I'm hoping they'll make a Masterpiece IronHide and Ratchet. And an actual scale SoundWave that will hold real cassettes. A 4-pack of Rumble & LaserBeak and their repaints, Frenzy & Buzzsaw. Ratchet and Ironhide seem like good candidates too, since they would be great repaints of each other, and their original toys REALLY REALLY were lacking. That's a nice way of saying they sucked big time, compared to what they passed off as their animation models. I realize that the toys were designed first and not intended to be sentient robots, but I always wanted a great Ratchet/Ironhide that stuck to the cartoon designs, and we have yet to get them. Yea, VW has been weird in the past allowing their licensing (after the first 80s toys, anyways) for VW/Porsche to be made into "war machine toys", but apparently money changes their minds. I too worried about not getting an MP Bumblebee or Jazz due to that issue (which is the story behind why we didn't get a VW Alternator Bumblebee or a Porsche Alternator Jazz) but they really shot that little excuse by allowing their Audi R8 to be in TF2. Audi, Porsche and VW are all owned by Volkswagen, and apparently they've stopped caring about their cars being associated with fighting machines, because Michael Bay talked them into putting their car into the new blockbuster. If we don't get a proper BB or Jazz from here on out, I'll be severely disappointed in them for going back on their word when it works in their favor. |

I saw the set with the monkey at Wal-Mart this past weekend on Clearance for 5 bucks and the clerk and the mgr told me they could not sell me the item because it was a recall??? All I wanted was the flippin Chimp and they said no lucky for me went to a local flea market that next day found a chimp smaller paid .25 cents, but did not even know that set was a recall.

You should have said, "Well, I'm a grown ass man, so ring it up for $5 because it's not going to a kid. I learned to not put lead-painted monkeymen in my mouth 2 years ago." |

Man I told them it was for me for a custom job on a figure I did and the price was 5 bucks on pkg they found the orig price 8 bucks as soon as they rang it up it quoted DO NOT SELL ITEM! I was like man keep the damn thing as my wife was getting some items to shop for I was like "C'mon were goin home!" I was shocked everytime I go to that paticular Wal-Mart I always have great luck or find something I need. Found the HISS tank and RAM before they reached my hometown, now they tell me NO to this. Oh well they lost a sale, and I managed to find a better monkey for my custom.
