So here goes a question to you, my mighty 1:18 scale friends (seriously, your on the internet, so I figured you're like 1:18th of a real live friend) (oh jk but I thought that was funny!)!
What the heck are all the different xH-6 variants produced by BBI? I checked the Database but was kinda confused. There is the MH-6 Littlebird Recon AND MH-6 Littlebird Night Stalker, then there is the AH-6 Littlebird Recon. Green, Black and Black. Can someone smarter than me explain the physcially differences between them, and which are harder to find? Thank you kind souls.

AH-6 came first, and isn't an AH at all, but an MD 500 Defender. In either color variant it's not correct. Paint it in IDF markings and you're on to something, though.
I'm pretty sure the Night Stalker simulates two birds, an MH with benches for insertion and if i recall correctly isn't provisioned for any kind of armament, and an AH which is. I'd say the Defender is the rarer version, simply because it's long out of production. |

I can see the MH-6 Recon has a bench in the back and open. The AH-6 Recon has back doors that are closed.
I was thinking of doing a Magnum P.I. paintjob on the "AH-6 Recon"

The problem is you have to cut off the TOW sight and replace the windscreen.
For your project i'd really get one of those PTE civilian 500s. Last edited by Konigstiger; 04-15-2009 at 12:07 AM.. |

There is the MH-6 Littlebird Recon AND MH-6 Littlebird Night Stalker, then there is the AH-6 Littlebird Recon. Green, Black and Black. 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (United States) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia The MH-6 has advanced avionics as compared to the AH-6. The AH-6's ancestor is the OH-6, commonly referred to as the "Loach" from the Vietnam era. I am left to assume the AH-6 in OD Green is out of one of the Air Cavalry units stationed in Fort Hood, Texas. Don't curse at me if I got it wrong, but Air Cav operates out of Fort Hood, and their birds are OD green. Wild Bill would be an ideal choice for your Air Cav bird since he belongs to the Order of the Spur. Order of the Spur - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Keep in mind that the MH-6 edition of the bird is used primarily by Special Forces units (probably not conventional Air Cav units), and the MH-6 can also be modified to carry 4 SF Operators into battle. All of this said, the only BBI Little Bird I have is the one with the pre-installed folding benches or optional TOW weapon systems (4 TOW launch capability). "Night Stalkers" is the name for the 160th SOAR (Special Operations Aviation Regiment). Please read "Black Hawk Down" if you get the chance. The Red one is the one you're gonna want to find, as it has all four doors. Chop off the antenna on the boom and paint.
