I only have Dial-Tone and Breaker for comm guys.
I use the Controlers kind of like Tyrese Gibson's Transformers character, who was a Combat Controller attached to a Ranger unit. So these are guys that are able to hold their own with the Rangers. Think of the Joe comic with the Thunderclap. Delta Team are the guys that went in and rescued the captured Joes. The Thunderclap would be part of an Alpha Team unit to provide extraction cover. So the Controller would be in the Warthog calling the Thunderclap to fire.

Yeah that sort of is a problem. So who are all the comm guys? Sparks maybe could replace Dail-Tone and then put him in the field. but most of the others are too techie to be deployed in combat with their non-appropriate attire. I think someone like TF Lifeline could pull double duty. I don't own one, but he comes with a gun. My Lifeline is most definitely not a pacifist.
The Book I read about the Delta's and their hunt for Bin Laden, has some of the members who have been trained to call in air Strikes. They were almost as good as the Combat Controllers that were attached with the Squadron. The Team Leaders have the ability to get their guys trained in whatever they think may be appropriate. So where one team leader had a motorcross bike rider come and give them lessons, one team leader got his team trained on Combat Control missions.

My ex-girlfriends father is an air-traffic controller for Boston/Logan Airport (he was on duty the day of 911, sat next to the guy that got the first call).

There is a certification for what's called a Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC). These guys take a class to learn how to call in airstrikes using an international standard. The difference is that Combat Controllers are Combat (Air Traffic) Controllers. CCT's take FAA certification just like the guys and girls at your local airport (check out the movie Pushing Tin). CCT's have to keep all the air elements from flying into or shooting each other. A lot of SOF teams have trained JTAC's now. Just like teams are starting to send more guys to EMT training (even recon marines are getting EMT trained).

Yeah, and that's why I made my own. I guess it would make more sense to call them JTACs instead of specifying Forward Observer and Combat Controller.
I think they would cross-train eachother. One was pulled from Army's Forward Observers, one was pulled from Air Force's Combat Controllers and another from Marine FACs. All of 'em got together and cross-trained eachother so they're all qualified to do any of the 3 jobs. They'd also serve as the communications guys.

Troynos, I'm interested in your idea of 6-man teams. Why that number? I'm not critizing; I think it's fine. I'm just wondering why 6? Delta Uses 4-man teams, and in the recent book, "Lone Survivor", Marcus Lattrell says that SEALs use 4-man recon teams.
The old LRRP units used 6, and Force Recon still uses 6.

Also, I know you're a Big Ben fan, as am I - wouldn't you like to see a version of Big Ben in his khaki beret with his SAS wings? I would... anyone else?

The old LRRP units used 6, and Force Recon still uses 6. Then when I went from using the entire Joe roster to what I physically have, 6 worked out very good in that I didn't have that many of certain "jobs" (snipers for example, technically have just Low-Light, but I'm using Scarlett in that role for one team). I think it gives the most flexibility. Can break off into 2 3-man teams, 3 2-man teams, 4 man team with 2 providing cover, etc.. My Marine Force Recon is a 4 man team. The LRRP unit is a 4 man team. And Barrell Roll's unit is a 4-man team.

Speaking of Flint and the SAS...
In the British version of the Comic, "Action Force" or whatever it was... wasn't Flint the commander? Sort of like Duke was the field commander in the U.S. My understanding is that in the UK, Flint's real name was David Fairborne, and he was an SAS Commando instead of a Green Beret. Now, in an effort to be mindful of our British Cousins' continuity, could it be possible that Flint did a stint with the SAS while he was in England working on his Rhodes Scholarship? Sort of like the exchange program that Beckwith participated in back in the early 60's. It seems to me that Flint's skills and scholarship would make him a likely candidate for exchange work with the SAS... then I look at the color of his beret for Tiger Force. It strikes me that Flint could have passed selection for the SAS, and given the fact that he seems bound to get the badge from every other Special Operations Course in the Army, I'm sure he would have jumped at the opportunity to earn some SAS wings.
