Like it or not it's still great that GI Joe product is going to be all over the place.

True.
It'll be a trip, like back in the 80's where you saw Joe merchandise all over the place. Bit of a double edged sword though. On one hand G.I. Joe will become "mainstream" again and product (especially the figs) will be more readily available but like some transformer fans will tell you you'll get alot more competition buying stuff and hear alot of annoying crap from people who JUST got into it Like "oh your online nick is snake-eyes? Like that ninja guy from the movie?" (ARRRGHHHH). Then you'll sit back and be like "Oh, NOW you know knowing is half the battle!" I think that's why alot of cats are rejecting the movie outright even though all they've seen is very short trailer. Once a movie comes out the loyal community who's been keeping the property alive all these years just isn't that exclusive anymore ;) I'll give it a shot though. As long as Larry Hama is on board we should be alright. Sorry if it got a bit off topic. |

It will be good to potentially create a whole new fan base. I think that no matter how good the movie is there will be those that are not satisfied. Every time I hear someone ragging on the movie I get a very odd picture in my mind. For some reason I picture the part in the movie Ice Age where the birds are chanting "doom on you, doom on you". Gives me a chukle at least.

Its already pretty sweet, some friends of mine told me they had a joe design shirt at bluenotes in the mall. I went in and found they had two different ones so I bought them both. The part that sucks is that they had like a hundred of each of them just stacked there Ive already ran into 3 people I konw who have bought them.
