This is my on going custom project and has been for awhile now. I have 2 of these(the other one needs to be sanded down due to some paint chips and rust). You can see the scale of these in the first pic with the 25th Hiss & Cobra Commander by it. I think the scale is pretty close to what size a semi truck should be for these figures. These pics are still w.i.p. because there is some touch-up detail work to be done on semi grille, fuel tanks and some air lines and hydraulic hoses on the back of the cab along with details on the trailer and bigger Arbco lettering on the sides of trailer.

Where did you get those?
Well the base for them. I always look for the joe alternatives when I go to Target. I want a Cobra monster truck. |

These Ertl semi trucks I got from ebay. They were made by Ertl in the 1960-1970's and are made out of steel. Usually the cab is about 7"-9" high and the trailer is about 19"-22" long. They are pretty heavy and takeup alot of room so they are expensive to ship. I had some of these as a kid and remembered about them when I was thinking of a good basis for these Arbco customs. They usually go for around $20 + $12-$14 s/h on ebay so they're not the cheapest.

Can you put anything inside the cab? I had an Ertl brown truck back in the late 80's. It had a crank wench on the front, a working tailgate and a "sunroof" that you could slide Joes in from. I LOVED that thing and can't seem to find it on Ebay. Any help?
I always used Ertl and Tonka vehicles when I was a kid. Hey, it's what happens when you're poor! |

That's cool. Is the trailer big enough to hold the HISS or a Stinger?
One of these days I'm going to get this: Soldier Force Rocket Hauler Playset - Toys R Us - Toys "R" Us

Wow. The memories that flooded back when I saw the pictures. I had two of those as a kid. One was a horse trailer with a side door and rear pull down door. I used to carry the VAMP and others in it. Rigged it up with some cardboard to make it look like a truck from Mad Max...lol.
Thank you for the bit of nostalgia...

I just made Roscoe the Arbco truck driver and have spent the last couple of months trying to find a scale semi with rig. Can you open the cab doors to fit a driver in? If so this is the end of my search and will start bidding on these as I see them.

The trailers aren't tall enough to fit a Hiss tank in them, Stinger or Vamp, maybe(I'll have to try and if it does I'll post some pics). Ram cycles, Trouble Bubbles, Fangs, Ferrets, Snake Suits all will fit though along with tons of Bats, Troopers, weapons, etc.
