As a kid I would have gone bonkers for this. But sadly, I have a sense of what we are going to get here, and there is nothing about the theatrical Joe or TF movies that gives me any real interest or excitement. Get the showrunners from X-Men '97 or that Netflix He-Man show to do an animated version and I'll throw buckets of money at them.
It picks up, right? |

There's just too many fun ideas out there about this very crossover that make me excited about it. There was that Devil's Due miniseries back in the day where Cobra got to the Transformers first and turned everyone into HISS tanks.
Picturing Hound turning into a modern VAMP and driving around with Clutch and Rock n Roll sounds awesome. Starscream turning into a Night Raven and shooting at an AWE version of Beachcomber. Shockwave vs Shockwave (OK, that probably goes badly for the Joe, lol). I'm just saying, if they get creative with it, it COULD be a very fun movie. They just need to lean into the vehicle aspects of Joe. Picture a big screen version of the Rolling Thunder that can also turn into freaking Omega Supreme. That's just cool. This movie has so much potential that it's almost a curse. There's no way they can include everything that should work. I've been saying over in one of the collab threads, I think Hasbro has been continuing the collabs outside of Joe's 40th with this film in mind. By the time the movie comes out there may be even more than what have been released/rumored that would make easy "off screen" Transformers (Shockwave as the MegaHiss, Beachcomber as the BumbleAwe, for example). And the fact that Hasbro is doing a new 4" line accross multiple properties leads me to believe that for the movie, some Joes would follow that just HAPPEN to fit these Transformers. Wonder if they do Epic Heroes versions of the Joes in ME style and then 1/18 Transformers at a cheaper price scale in vehicle form. Then Transformers in non-Transforming form?

Yea count me out. I’m one of the few who don?t give a damn about seeing this monstrosity. Ymmv. But imo We will never get a good GI Joe Movie on screen. At least they green lit A rated R TMNT movie. Stoked about that after every failed attempt since the original.

An R-rated TMNT seems kind of a bad idea since TMNT thrives on the toys selling.

After thinking about this the past 24 hours, this is just the 2nd installment of the current TF trilogy and won't be a full G.I. Joe film at all and will just feature the Joe team in it, which in-turn may spinoff a stand alone Joe film. I'm sure Paramount is testing the waters with this to see if G.I. Joe is popular enough to warrant another film of its own. We're probably looking at 2027 or 2028 at the earliest for a stand-alone G.I. Joe film. I don't know if this film will warrant Classified switching over and being dedicated to movie figures other than one a wave or two just like Origins since it's first and foremost a Transformers film.
If Paramount ends up greenlighting a stand-alone Joe flick after this is released, then I think Classified would go into fully dedicated movie mode for 6-9 straight months. But I truly believe that's still a good 3-4 years away at this point. Definitely not 2025 since the line is already all planned out for next year at this point since fall 2025 is likely already in the early stages of planning and conceptualizing by Team Classified as we speak. The film JUST got greenlit yesterday and doesn't even have a script or director attached yet. Assuming there are zero delays or anything, the earliest this movie could be released is summer 2026, so spring 2026 is likely the earliest we would see any movie-related Classified figures.

Wonder if in the future a Joe x Transformers1/12 scale Haslab would work.
