I lost a Wolverine 10 to tape like that.
I am still in mourning that the Complete IDW hardcovers proved not to be the case (for both Joe series and Transformers). |

Not yet you mean. From my understanding, they reprint them as cheaply as possible at first and then do hard covers in hopes that you will buy them twice.

I hope they fix the OCR errors form the IDW books. IDW did a terrible job of double checking the spelling and restoring the art in some cases.

I could see these collections either being called 'Larry Hama's GI Joe' or just 'GI Joe: A Real American Hero' because theyre gonna reprint the Marvel stuff for maybe 3 compendiums (it depends on if they're gonna splice in special missions and yearbooks) and then switch over to the IDW run for 4 volumes ( again, depends on splicing) and then when the new Skybound run gets to #350 we'll get another compendium.

I don't mind uniforms being mis-colored. Hair colors can be off, too, as long as they are consistent in the issue. But we need to get skin tones right. |

Skybound has finally put out the press release for this. Andy Kubert is the cover artist for the compendiums, and the books will use newsprint pages.

The article describes ARAH as a non-superhero series. Snake Eyes begs to differ.

That was my takeaway too. Fragility, ink transfer/smearing, fading, potential yellowing... disappointed to say the least. I was hoping they'd be more on par with what IDW did with theirs, or even the TWD Omnibuses.

Fragility is my biggest concern. Turning the pages of a heavy book are all the more likely to tear?
