Seriously though, betcha if Classified sales tanked, they'd come back to 1:18. But Reaction is harming o-ring more than anything else. It's hard for Hasbro to justify an in-house GI Joe retro o-ring line when a licensee is already producing "retro" Joe toys and paying Hasbro for the privilege.

I dunno...maybe not o-ring, but they always come back to 1:18 when their dumb scale experiments fail. Always. Extreme, Sgt Savage, that other one I can't think of the name of right now... They always return to the one true scale. Lol It is different this time though, because old fart nerds love that 6" shit. It's easier on their shitty eyes & fat fingers.

It telling they won't even milk the few o-ring molds they have remade for easy repaints. Python Trooper/Officer pack? Python Patrol "Lightning" (Ripcord)? Ninja Viper? Tiger Force Duke? 1997 do-overs (which would not be a bad idea).
I mean, tooling costs money. Suddenly they don't care. |

The only good thing about them was maybe the package art and the laughs as people desperately tried to make the Dragonhawk usable with 3 3/4".
I remember the Sigma 6 large scale apologists. "THIS IS FOR KIDS"...but also "WHEN THEY GONNA MAKE SCARLET, BARONESS AND JINX?" Ha-haha...how'd that work out, Sigma Suckers? No ladies. Terrible cartoon. Line dead after a few years with like half the releases variants of the same 4 characters. |

Yeah, that's the name I was forgetting: "Sigma 6." The name of a bullshit management philosophy turned backwards... Real original, that. They tried both 2" & 8" there. Like I said, dumb scale experiments. Seems like they'd just stick with the scale that worked. In fairness though, if 1:18 scale sold consistently, they probably wouldn't be experimenting.

That's true, I remember the scramble from people to gut the interior to shove o-rings in, however rememeber in the 2.5 line they did release some of the DTC vehicles but sold with 2.5 Sigma figures |

Also they ripped the rhino and gave it unaltered to the 2" line so there was reason for some people to want to modify that hawk shaped stupid thing. |

It's reversed though, they sold the 4inch vehicles in the 2.5 line cause obviously the smaller figures would fit, people were trying to force the 2.5 vehicle to fit 4inch Joes which did work if you removed or cut out the interior segment

I mean, tooling costs money. Suddenly they don't care. I got over the silent treatment the Joe Team was giving the Hasbro line back in March. Back to collecting and finalizing my ARAH O-ring figures/vehicle collection and backing the Kickstarter campaigns is where my focus is right now and I am back to enjoying the hobby without worrying about Hasbro's direction with the future of o-ring. |
