yes, as far as pictures...I guess I'm just slightly surprised that there is no info about any of that stuff in their release. oh well. hopefully, they'll be some good pictures if they do show that stuff.

no need to worry for those who actually want to buy these toys, THEY WILL BE ON CLEARANCE, so wait and buy it then. no sane parent will have the money to fork over for the ridiculous price tag of these so far fugly toys...

Careful what you ask for. The last time someone released some photos of upcoming 25th stuff we saw a pic of a Ferret that looked like total ass. I'm betting the last 25th vehicles we see before they go total movie sh...stuff is the Stinger wave but we won't see that one for several months.

Transformers went through the same lull in 2007 before their big movie push, and retailers are not apt to order a lot on a line that is effectively ending in 4 months or so. Especially not with backstock first shipped in November just now hitting retailer shelves. Prices are pretty much were I expected them to be (for the record, GI Joe single figures have been $7.99 since wave 10, Walmart just doesn't want to change their prices), but the vehicles ARE a bit higher than I expected. I knew prices were going to be higher (they've been going up for months now), but still, $16 for an Alpha Vehicle is a bit jarring. And $25 for a repaint of a toy I got 4 years ago for $15 is even more so. Still, if the movie is a success, we might see some price competition from the stores like Star Wars saw in 2005. Either way, Walmart might hack a buck or two off the MSRP as they've done for a while now.

Quite frankly, with the price increase of single carded figures to $7.99, I bet SW figures once again dominates the action figure market through Christmas. Parents and grandparents will probably buy their kids/grandkids some Joes but that will only be in the final shopping days leading up to Christmas when no other "good stuff" is on the shelf. I'm also expecting to see some of this stuff on clrearance next January.

Both Marvel and Star Wars single figures have an MSRP of $7.99, as had GI Joe since last fall. These are high compared to what GI Joe has been running, but are right in line with most other comparable toylines.

unless they changed plans, which is possible, I thought they said in one of the Q&A's that there would be 3 more waves of singles (after 13...wave 14 - 16) before the movie stuff. If the movie stuff starts coming in May/June, then that would leave March, April, and possibly May for singles. Also, from the Walmart computer listings it seemed like there were 2 more CP waves (9 and 10) IIRC. you could be right though...they may have just changed the plan starting with canceling/delaying the wave 5 vehicles.

Hasbro can say they will be back everyday for the next year. If the Movie fails to entice the kids it could leave alot of unsold stock. Too much stock cluttering shelves doesn't make for a line retailers want to dump more money on. Hasbro isn't one to really go "mattycollector" route. We may not get a continuation of the 25th line if the Movie line fails.
