As an analogy, considering the movie Armageddon (1998), I would suggest Roadblock is the Michael Clarke Duncan to Duke's Bruce Willis. Scarlett would be Liv Tyler-sized. Flint would be Affleck-sized. Doc would be Billy Bob-sized. Ace would be Col. Sharp-sized. I'll end the analogy now. I prefer to think of Roadblock being the biggest built and the strongest, but that he is kind-hearted and was raised to respect authority, so he would show respect to Sgt. Slaughter even though he could bear-hug him into submission. Sarge would be a dirtier fighter, but he would be panicky if Roadblock ever got pissed at him. Gung-Ho, Steeler, and Bazooka would likely be equally matched.

In wrestling Sgt. Slaughter's billed Height and Weight around that time was 6' 6" and 305lbs. Roadblock is 6' 10" 270lbs. Roadblock's movie actor Dwayne the Rock Johnson was billed at 6'4" 260lbs.
Going with the Wrestling perspective here's some other famous ones heights and weights for comparison. Andre the Giant 7'4" 520 lbs. Big show 7'0" 485lbs Kevin Nash 6'11" 356lbs Big John Studd 6'10" 342lbs Undertaker 6'10" 309lbs Sid vicious 6'9" 313lbs Braun Stroman 6'8" 385lbs Kane 6'8" 324lbs Hulk Hogan 6'7" 303lbs Dave Batista 6'6" 290lbs (Drax in the MCU) Bill Goldberg 6'4" 290lbs Tallest Wrestler ever was either Giant Gonzales at 7'7" and 460lbs or Paul Bunyan 7'7" 430 lbs. Heaviest Wrestler ever was Happy Humphrey at 6'1" and 800lbs. Smallest Wrestler Sky Low Low 3'6" 86lbs. Last edited by sisco; 03-25-2023 at 11:57 AM.. |

Likewise. That comic cover has always been my favorite btw. Awesome artwork.
Ok so for entertainment's sake I also surfed around for specs of some of these guys if they were casted realistically. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson : 6'5" / 260 lbs (Roadblock) Michael Clarke Duncan: 6'5" / 280 lbs Arnold "Dutch" Schwarzenegger (Major Barrage): 6'2" / 240 lbs at age 38 Sarge: 6'6"/ 305 lbs ...not sure if this is accurate given online photos and comparison shots with average people. Adam Baldwin (Full Metal Jacket - "Rock n Roll"): 6'4"/214 lbs presently. I'm fans of them all. Never met the Sarge though so I can't speak completely objectively but do know he's a biggie. My vote still goes with Roadblock though. If he were to be casted in real life, I'd go with Michael Clarke Duncan (RIP). In the Green Mile, he towers over Tom Hanks and most of the others. His build is what I think is accurate to what I perceived as the Joe Hulk from childhood comics and cartoons. |

I collect the ME Joes, so going by that, all Joes using the Ret. Rock-block buck are the "biggest" joes in my collection. You can say that the Club Big Lob is the "tallest" as he has a Fro on top of that Rock-block torso and Ret. RB limited articulation legs.

Roadblock is the biggest. I've always considered Gung Ho to be shorter and stockier - but buffed out.
