Well, I apparently missed out on my store's case when I took a mini-vacation to Macon for a concert. That wouldn't be so bad, except that these figures aren't in our system yet (the existing DCPI just goes to the generic Master Grade location), so there's no way to track when another case will show up. I have a sneaking suspicion this might also be how the Solo Mode figures show up, given they are listed differently than existing figures.

It's possible, but it's not unusual. The figures themselves aren't in the system (even though Zero is currently listed), and we regularly receive items that don't necessarily link up to a delivery date. What is unusual is the discrepancy between having an item in the system and receiving it. Simply put, there's no way of tracking if you've sold something or not if you can't account for it in inventory. On rare occasions, we get an "ItemNotForSale", which basically means we ship it straight back to the Distribution Center because brick & mortar stores were never supposed to receive it (ie online only merchandise). I'm sure at some point the figures will be listed; it's just weird that they haven't been in there for at least as long as we've known about them.
Which brings us back to just WTF is going on with this line. How are we getting Master Grade figures before literally any of the dozens of Solo Mode figures? What happened with the distribution to throw things off so wildly that figures revealed a month or so ago beat out figures we've known about for over a year? |

I know at the ports, when containers came in they were completely buried under freshly offloaded containers and those, suffering the same fate, and so on and so on. This led to newer product hitting stores because it was on top, while it seemed older product remained lost (but it would eventually show up once unburied). Could this be the case with the distribution centers too? Or are they all caught up after that mess and maybe thinking it's too much product to distribute so offloading it to discount retailers?

While the situation's still not ideal, I don't think they'd still be buried at the ports - which is why I suggested the distribution centers as a possibility. Seems more likely big-box retailers would be expediting seasonal shipments over older crates cluttering the warehouses, in an effort to keep on top of things.

I doubt it, as there was a massive push last summer to empty out distribution centers. We were getting double trucks for almost a month, and it was so bad that we were taking trucks, putting the boxes on a pallet, wrapping them, and backstocking them wholesale. It took us weeks to recover, but we got everything out on the salesfloor. There's no reason for anything non-electrical to be backed up. The only reasonable conclusion is that the items never shipped from their manufacturing point. If that's the case, they are being held somewhere until they can be shipped into the US.

Jazwares is aware that wave 19-21 weren't picked up by a lot of stores stateside and never appeared in some that did. It was the new team transition period during those waves. We are putting everything in those waves in future sets and releases to make sure everyone can get their hands on them eventually if you can't find them now. No way we let Mothmando, Axo, Mancake, Dr Slone and the rest not see stateside.
