So you have a Joe Custom for me?
Yes, sir, I do! Okay, not really a custom. More like a desperate attempt to call a kitbash a custom by painting some minimal details on an otherwise off-the-shelf LBC. This is a parts bin kitbash of the 2000s Oktober Guard Daina DAINA (V1): 2005 BTW, Daina looks great! -Todd Shakka85

Fantastic work. The colors of the shirt and the pants play off of each other very nicely.

Thank you, gentlemen, for the kind words. I am, of course, humbled.
Welcome back, k_r! It is because of you, Steel Brigade and H&R that I do these customs. I saw the work you guys do and it made me want to give it a go. Okay, so I had a couple minutes to myself today and I just happened to run across a YouTube video of the unproduced Star Brigade and Replicator guys. I knew about them before, to be sure, but I had forgotten about two of the figures. One was Striker (who was to come with a VHS tape that would explain the origin of the Lunartix aliens). The other guy was Star Brigade Shockwave, the human gun. I thought I would try my hand at making him. I know the original figure is white and blue, but I thought it would be more fun to use a silver base. Item of note, Shockie’s lower legs are actually a pair of Ghost-Ops lower legs that I had originally painted for my Snow Serpent and ended up not using. Got to recycle them here. SHOCKWAVE: STAR BRIGADE Unproduced 1995 Star Brigade Shockwave

Kuh_Rupht is back!!! Welcome back, my friend!
And Rob.....that Star Brigade Shockwave is incredible! Love the decision to go with a silver base, then just an inspired choice to make in general. I think I saw the unproduced version once but definitely forgot about it over the years. Great job!

I really like the combination of greens and greys on Daina. For a minimally painted figure she looks just right!
Star Brigade Shockwave is an unexpected one that really shines. Very cool helmet! |

It's funny... as you release your stuff pretty much "day-of" (or it least it seems so ...mostly), & I hold onto customs for months on end to make varied (or themed) assortments of 5... & yet with my numbers, I am actually making 1.25 figures a week... but yet I still think you drop like... 3 a day lol. Now I want to talk about Star Brigade Shockwave. I love this custom. The obscurity of this figure... I'm thinking this is the first I've seen him... & definitely the first custom I've seen of him. Really GREAT job on this man... I think I may have to make one myself sometime. See you just helped inspire me. ;-) |

Modern interpretations of unproductive figures are always a treat- never seen this Shockwave before, but your version is an absolute banger. Beautiful drop
