Nice! I'm game.
Wasn't Funko the company doing 1/12 Game of Throne figures, and used clear plastic for all the joints? |

The article definitely doesn't really make it clear. I'll take a gamble on it. Quote:
Funko also made the FNAF figures, it has gotten a lot better at making figures joints, but definitely not my 1st choice considering they specialize in Funko Pops. |

I guess that solves the mystery of what Overwatch would have looked like on the PlayStation 2. Yikes. And Funko renders are generally better than the final product.
I don't trust Funko. They chase licenses then put the least possible effort into them. These figures will probably be below average in every aspect. The likelihood of subsequent waves gets exponentially less likely. Forget keeping your expectations low; don't have expectations. At least wait for final product images and a few reviews before purchasing. But I really doubt Funko had a revelation and suddenly started investing in higher quality plastic. For them, there's no profit in quality. |

Will wait to see if they are closer to 4 inch Joes and Fortnite than 3.75. Reaper looks like he could fit in with Cobra. Just really glad to see other companies getting into this scale again after Hasbro seems to have abandoned it.

I suppose this should be a time to reward a company for raising their game, but I don't know that I can give any money to a company responsible for the abomination that are ReAction figures.
I think you're bang on and would also advise not getting too emotionally invested in this announcement. Even if the figures end up being half-decent, I would remain skeptical that many will be offered. |

Well the secret is Vietnam. Spin master is making their figures there and from the Amazon listing seems these Funk ones are made there as well. The problem Hasbro had with 4" scale was that it was becoming too expensive to produce them in China. I don't know where jazwares is making them but I suspect they are also being produced in Vietnam.
