the beret guy is hammer, who i was pretty excited about hammer potentially coming back with time crisis, but lanard really fucked the pooch with that one. now we're in time crisis 2 and i still dont even know if hammer was apart of the first one because it never hit stores in the states.

It was a joke, I'm never serious about this stupid shit, and Lanard history is never something I'm gonna care about. You used to see piles of cheap knock-off toys at flea markets and etc. Maybe you still do, I dunno. The truth is, I don't recall ever seeing Lanard stuff in a "real" store. If it was there, I never noticed it.

Walter, I have a question about the Solar X Rocket (https://youtu.be/S9SUI5AULsU?t=114, there was a post here too but can't find it) that you posted some time ago. From the pictures, it looks like a new toy, as what you showed is a render. Is it a new toy?
Knowing Lanard, and the desire to reuse everything, the only similar rocket I found is the booster for the space shuttle that came on the old Star Force line (see here: JoMi toys: S.T.A.R. Force Complete Launch Set). Now, there is very little information about this Solar X Rocket (mostly for sure vaporware) but I also noticed this post: https://www.hisstank.com/forum/5500152-post5040.html From here you tease the Solar X Rocket comes with MORE THAN SHOWN. Am I mistaken, or is Lanard trying to re-release the whole Space Shuttle? If so, that would be fantastic. I got the capsule and I'm happy with it, but the Space Shuttle is a great alternative for those of us who can't/don't want to afford a GI JOE Defiant or even the Crusader. |

Btw, the capsule is a nice vehicle. It is an old Lanard mold, so there are no cost-saving measures as extreme thinness, it doesn't do much, but looks great.
The old Lanard Space Force 9-POA figures are great astronauts and their proportions are much better than other Corps figure from the same time. Some good stuff here. |

there's nothing i love more than seeing o-ring figures in a photo to show a product off. it's all modern stuff now. the only way i can TRULY tell another toy's size is if there's an o-ring figure in the picture with it.

The capsule is an old mold and was made for the o-ring astronaut figures (see here JoMi toys: S.T.A.R. Force 1998 Space Capsule). As such, o-ring figures fit right at home, while for the included figure you have to bend his legs together to fit him. The figure is pretty good, probably one of the few I like of the modern Lanard sculpt, but o-rings beat them here indeed.
