Besides, where else in the world are the losers of a war glorified the way the Confederacy has been over the years? I think the place for the monuments and regalia is in a museum, not out on the streets, and certainly not adorning our heroes.

That's a good word, I'm going to use it now. Thanks.

I know the art depicts Cross Country's belt buckle as a confederate flag, but the toy had a red flag with a white X, which is the flag of Gascony, I believe.
Maybe he's just a history buff? Leave the hat on him and let him keep the Gascon flag?

Cross Country seems really easy to alter to avoid anything insensitive. He and Wild Bill both look ready to participate in Civil War re-enactments; fighting for the Union of course.

Wild Bill always gave me a "ready to fight Indians" vibe.
As a kid I totally had him getting slaughtered by Spirit in an American West diorama we had to do in grade school. Apparently somebody didn't like it because they stole Spirit off it when it was on display in the hallway! |

As a Brit that's spent the majority of my life here in the US, I agree. In fact, even though it's a bit of an apples to oranges comparison, every time someone mentions "treason" when discussing the Civil War or even the BS that happened at the Capitol, I always want to respond with "this country is built on treason"... of course, I don't, because that's just the devil's advocate in me speaking, and I don't want anyone to think that I support the causes behind those particular treasonous acts.

Heavy Metal, the Mauler M.B.T. Tank Driver wore a stamped brass Confederate States belt buckle (possibly something he acquired while stationed at Fort Belvoir, Virginia). In the unlikely event that the Classified line makes a version of Heavy Metal, it's a safe bet this buckle will be cancelled too.
