Bro, all these are simply awesome!! The thought process and creativity you've put into these are quite evident.
Crimson Jackal stands out as a very unique build as it's the first I've seen with these characteristics and parts. Just beautiful all around. I can't make that torso, I forget the name of that figure but it's BFS right? The forearms add-ons are also different, very clever to incorporate those into this build as it stands out even more! Crackerjack is another solid build, as I've always biased towards this older grey camo, being my favorite. I think the German soldier's vest fits this one perfectly as I also discovered myself recently. Formula for success and the aged looking face gives it some more depth to make it stand out. You captured Topson's look nicely! Man you nailed Z Force Sapper's look with Tracker here. Best Action Force Z Force Sapper custom in my book! Swapping those legs was smart to give a more accurate look and frankly it looks so much better this way. I missed out on those geared-up figs so it's fun seeing how others can utilize that MGR figure. Great work! You know how I love your lady custom builds and this is no exception! Her noggin is dynamite, she looks slick and a foxy engineer anyone who want to hear her spit out some engineering jargon! You gotta love Shinobi style Snakes Eyes and this is one of my favorite SE version! You did justice to the character, the gear added is spot on! Great stuff my man, I've enjoyed reading the mini stories as well. That's always a bonus! |

2023... NEW YEAR!!! NEW RECRUITS!!!!!
WAVE 74 *In 2023 I won't be using the additional alternate numbering system anymore (X01, V01, etc.) as most of the entries now take place in the Future alternate universe timelines, Side Stories, and the Vietnam alternate universe. It has become a bit more to keep track of then I want going forward with all of those numbers... so everything now will just be the standard numbers starting here with #366. I will be adding "Wave Numbers" this year also starting here with "Wave 74." Thank you... 366. MUTON(S) (based on Action Force Red Shadows: Muton) Crimson Moon Origin: Crimson Moon Laboratories 'NAM 19XX The "Burgundy Shadow Notum Helmet" kit from Avacs was one I've had my eye on for sometime...when building out my Red Shadows ranks due to the upcoming releases from Eagle Force, I knew I needed to add "Muton" to the ranks. Was able to get the kit recently from Coby and the rest was easy! BIO: Robotic soldiers of Crimson Moon that are nearly invincible. Able to lift a tank with their vast strength, & wear a special targeting weaponized helmet with built in radar! The MUTON(S) are extremely versatile & can operate anywhere... on land, sea, or air. The alliance's top scientists are unable to find a definitive weakness in the MUTON(S), as on the battlefield they still function even after decapitation! 367. SKULL HAWK (based on S.T.O.P. vs. S.C.U.M. Skull Hawk)
Wrath Origin: Germany Season 8 *2020~2023 Lost Waves Figure #1 *The "Lost Waves" Figures are builds that I originally created in 2020 in anticipation of the previewed new head sculpts that were displayed back then by MGR. These figures from my roster have never been shown before *until now* and remained "works in progress," because of the wait of the release of the heads due to current world issues. They are finally being released now at the end of 2022-into 2023... I originally intended to drop all of these figures in full waves of 5 once the heads came out, but now they will be peppered into normal waves, due to how MGR is releasing the heads on the site in spurts, rather than all at once. Thank you... I have been vocal about the anticipation of the long awaited release of the MGR heads shown in 2020, mostly because I had made (originally) around 20 figures prior to their release based on those sweet noggins. ...Well here we are and the wait seems to finally be over with the first release of the "Ryan" head. Available in 3 colors for the premiere, the white mohawk/light skin tone was exactly the one I needed for my S.T.O.P. vs S.C.U.M. Skull Hawk build that I made back in 2020. This figure has gone thru some minor changes since it's inception, mostly with the Boss Fight harness replacing a couple of bandoliers early on... I've had that sweet skull mask from Avac's standing by just to cover that long awaited head/face for like 2 years now lol. Thankfully it fits like a glove... BIO: Self-proclaimed son of GENERAL ONSLAUGHT and one of the "LORDS of WRATH," SKULL HAWK is one of the most powerful men to arise from the Apocalypse War. Coming from the German Goth Underground culture, SKULL HAWK was one of the most ruthless enforcers for the organized crime operating in that area of Europe. Having suffered though a severe burning incident, he took to wearing a skull mask. Offering his service to the highest bidder, he worked as a hired mercenary during the Cartel Narco Wars and the European Final Solution. Skull Hawk prides himself at never missing as assignment and was determined to profit from his deadly mercenary skills. It was through this determination that he aligned with GENERAL BLITZ (and later CYCLOPS) to become one of the most feared individuals through out this new war-torn world! 368. LIFT TICKET (based on G.I. Joe ARAH Lift Ticket)
Marauder Task Force (G.I. Joe) Origin: USA 'NAM 19XX *MTF Geared-Up Figure"+ Awesome "Geared-Up" offering from MGR that I added/swapped out some things to make more to my liking, (vest config, knee pads, shoes, weapon...) The final result (with the supplied stickers) makes for what I think is one of the best looking representations I have seen of Lift Ticket at this scale. And just a heads up, the MGR page incorrectly shows the helmet sticker on upside down, which I have seen some others do the same & not follow the original toy's design, as it lays much flatter & better when placed with the lines pointing upward like the originals. ;-) On a personal note, despite the original Lift Ticket's strangely sculpted mug, the ARAH Tomahawk was like my favorite Joe vehicle growing up. BIO: LIFT TICKET is a good guy to have by your side, he's physically strong, very smart, & isn't afraid to jump into the fire. For the secret war coming between G.I. Joe and Crimson Moon, LIFT TICKET'S main function will be to drop off-and-pick up any Joes in the marked hot zones, and no one is more qualified for the mission. 369. SUKEBAN CHAINSAW GIKO (based on the Japanese "Chimamire Sukeban Chainsaw" movies/manga - aka "Bloody Chainsaw Girl")
Neutral Origin: Japan Side Story: Shinjuku Demon Parade *Japanese Anti/Heroines series Chimamire Sukeban Chainsaw is one of my favorite manga series, both violent & sexy, it takes the sukeban (delinquent girl) genre that I love and positions the lead against typical rivals but then adds monsters and zombies. This was a fun one to make because a had a vision of lead Giko being "battle ravaged" rather than fresh... Using all Boss Fight catalog for the body, character sandals, and the "ripped" and "bloody..." Accessorizing with MGR, & then topping it off with that Cho Chang head I love to use that works well for both the live action & manga look... But then she got put into hold status for a bit because I felt her sailor fuku scarf needed to be yellow (as per her usual coloration) & not the stock options. Avac's to the rescue! BIO: GIKO'S family is in the chainsaw business. And business was good until the world went to crap and most of Japan sunk into the ocean... But that doesn't mean that GIKO doesn't have to still go to school. Known as the toughest girl at Beniyuri Academy, she has earned resentment from both rivals & allies alike, both for her good looks, no-nonsense attitude, & fearless actions. When the Demon Veil was opened by the SHUTENDOJI CULT, GIKO was the first independent on the scene armed with one of her family's chainsaws to check out hell on earth. She didn't like what she saw and proceeded to cut down any one who tried to stop her while attempting to end the chaos & attacking the SHUTENDOJI CULT'S LEADER... Did GIKO survive? And if so will she join with KIKU'S resistance? *Japanese Anti/Heroines series roster: 1. GALLY (Battle Angel Alita) 2. RIKA (Zombie Hunter Rika) 3. RIN (Mutant Girl Squad) 4. REI (Mutant Girl Squad) 5. YOSHIE (Mutant Girl Squad) 6. SNOW WOMAN YUKI (Snow Woman from Japanese folklore + urban legend + movies) 7. VAMPIRE GIRL MONAMI (Vampire Girl from Vampire Girl VS. Frankenstein Girl) 8. SAYA (Dekotora Truck Gal series homage) 9. MACHINE GIRL AMI (Machine Girl from Rise Of The Machine Girls) 10. KIKU (The Abashiri Family - Live Action) 11. BLACK RAT ASUKA (Black Rat) 12. SLIT-MOUTHED WOMAN (Japanese folklore + urban legend + movies) 13. SAKI (OneChanbara) 14. BLACK FOX (Black Fox: Age Of The Ninja) 15. SHOCKER COMBATANT(S) (Kamen Rider) 16. AZUMI (Azumi 2020 Stage Play version) 17. SUKEBAN CHAINSAW GIKO (Bloody Chainsaw Girl) 18. JAPANESE MYSTERY FILM GIRL (coming soon!) *You can watch the first (of 3) Movies subtitled on Youtube... NSFW* Last edited by Steel Brigade; 02-20-2023 at 11:50 PM.. |

370. LEATHERNECK (based on G.I. Joe ARAH Leatherneck '86)
Marauder Task Force (G.I. Joe) Origin: USA 'NAM 19XX One of the main cast of the 'NAM 19XX story line, (based on the Action Force/British Comics continuity), Leatherneck has been in development with collecting parts & a plan since the story's re-invisionment in my MTF Universe. At one point I considered doing a "Mission Brazil" version, but to be honest I was more inclined to do the version 1, as that's what we had growing up, (& is more in line with the Vietnam motif.) But the bodies available on site prior weren't the right colors for me for a v1 Leatherneck... until now. The new Ambush-Ops Mark II is what I've been waiting for & got Leatherneck out of holding status for the best '86 Leatherneck I could make with MGR+. Some of these vintage characters that I am now homage-ing their most iconic looks (like Leatherneck & thanks to MGR Lift Ticket), I really am trying to build as an ultimate representation with using the available catalogs &/or plus-ing up. BIO: When GUNG-HO received word that some of his former fellow service men in Eagle Force where not MIA in Vietnam & were actually POWS of a new terrorist group known as CRIMSON MOON, he immediately contacted his 4 best men for a "off-the records" mission that was not approved by G.I. Joe. The men where WILD BILL, ROADBLOCK, & fellow marine LEATHERNECK. The gruff marine asked no questions except "When do we leave?" knowing that they may never come back. Calling themselves the "Marauder Task Force," as they are hoping to bring in both friend & foe alike...LEATHERNECK is ready for action! |
