I wish I had the connections to write a story that elevates underrated and forgotten characters from the franchise.
This is going to be the "I wish I had the connections" thread now isn't it? |

That?s what I love about Hama?s ARAH. Particularly this arc. It brings me back to my ten year old self. The kid who found ARAH on his local 7-11 spinner rack every month. I have no interest in an adult-oriented Joe comic. This is escapism.

^That’s the problem. It’s written for 10 year olds, marketed to 40+ year olds.
Hama’s OG run was written for young adults (content-wise), marketed to 10 year olds. Sunbow was written for and marketed to 10 year olds. DiC was written for 6 year olds, marketed to 10 year olds.

Is it even actually Snake-Eyes? It's just a clone, right, with his memories?

The writing is crap. The art is crap. I'm not saying it needs to be an adult story but the original run had mystery, different plot threads on betrayal and a lot of political comment I never noticed until recently. Now we have Cobra opening a Casino. It's dumb.

Read it. Bleh. Granted, I've been out of it for a while but it seems very, yeah, bleh.
Remember Maximum Cloneage from Marvel in the 90s? Would not be a bit surprised if that's where this is going... BTW I was told Image got the license? Is that true? |

Which is one of the issues I have with GI Joe comics, everytime an interesting route starts to happen it always seems to be abandoned to shoehorn the status quo main characters back in place or the interesting new plots main character is killed off/wrote out cause they don't have a toy this season.
