I vaguely recall something about the final price being adjusted to reflect the number of figures that make it through. I think we can safely trust that they're not going to screw people over.

Looks to be 5 guys not hitting the mark; 3 space/comics guys, Bruce Maddox the driver, and Ultima 2ule. I think Ultima's lag is obviously explained by most that want him already having him. The 3 space/comic guys lag due to most guys wanting soldiers from this line, imho; and John Strong's similarity to BFS' Flash is probably why he's farthest-behind of the new characters. I think Bruce lags as he looks too much like Declan van Helsing's lesser knock-off.
I am glad General Brown looks good, though. He is my number one wanted character from the entire line and probably what got me to buy any at all. |

The beauty of this line is there are themes for everyone, though I can see how trying to sell big mixed-theme waves might be a challenge. John Strong and Sarxek lagging might be due to the Voyagers theme being new and not well known or understood yet. Putting out bios and story I think would really help the Voyagers. Jet Power has more of a general space design, so probably overcame that. Capes on the other two may be throwing people off, does everyone know they come off? Cool accessories that can use elsewhere. I think Bruce is just one of the cool old new figures that's gotten pushed back by the exciting new new figures. I'm trying to promote him as a partner to Leon Kelly. They're going to be my gritty 70's duo. |

Here are the updated visual rankings with 7 days to go in this crowdfunding event.
I'm kind of amazed at the big jumps this past week. I guess people do wait until the end to commit. Maybe a nice boost from people at Designer Con 2022 and the photos of the booth that came out. Let's hope there's still some juice left for the others. Spread the word! WAVE 7 300 General Brown 300 Commander Eagle [+22] 300 CLAW Henchmen [+32] 300 Gearshift [+52] 300 Jet Powers [+57] 261 Lash Lightning [+28] 249 Bruce Maddox [+20] 234 Prince Sarxek [+6] 213 John Strong [+4] ADD-ONS 300 RIOT Commando 300 Grimm Reaper [+25] 300 ASPS [+29] 300 RIOT Commando [+85] 195 Ultima Thule [+4] |

Glad to see the ASPS finally made it, along with the other RIOT trooper. I hope Maddox makes it across the finish line.

I wonder if full waves would sell better or worse if they were unified in theme; all-military guys, all space guys, etc. |

I usually buy a couple figures from most lines so that I have them for comparisons in videos. I guess part of me thinks that if the creators don't care enough to try and create a compelling story, then why should I care about their random figures. And this is not a dig at Fresh Monkey Fiction, this goes for any company making any figure line. When I bought the first Fortnite figures back in 2018 I didn't know anything about the story. I thought they were cool figures and that 4 inch G.I. Joe fans might like to see some reviews. So I bought a few. Since then I have learned the Fortnite story line. It's amazingly deep and really fun. I had to be all-in on that line. For the people like me, a good storyline is the difference between all-in or not at all. And us all-in people will help spread the word. That is one problem I have with a lot of small 4 inch figure companies, no story connecting the characters or telling their adventures. You can like Bobby Vala or not, but one neat thing he did was create a compelling story for his Action Force line. Not jumping on your comment, but sharing from another point of view.

I alluded to this in an earlier post, but I look over the Eagle Force line-up on BBTS and I'm seeing recreations of classic Eagle Force characters and modern updates. I'm seeing a Keanu look alike and a Schwarzenegger look alike. I'm seeing Red Shadows homages and post-apocalyptic Charley Brown and Mario and Luigi and Spaceman Josef Stalin and Werewolves and green-skinned superhero types and... like, it's all cool and I love all the personal passion and idiosyncrasies on display, but part of me is just like, uhhh... what am I looking at? All that to say, don't need to know the story behind it all, it's just a bit difficult to find the entry point.

I'm not a lot of people, but I need media in order to connect to a figure line. I am not someone who mixes and matches figures into new collections. If I can't connect to the story of a line, then it is really difficult for me to connect to the figures. Do the figures look cool? Sure they look awesome, but I don't know the story and so for me I don't have any connection to these characters.
