That CC looks real cool man, and I love the idea of having an unmasked head from the comics!

I was playing around with my parts bin today while the kids were distracted with Uncharted 4 and I threw together what could pass for a Retaliation Joe Colton in battle togs. Of course, it’s mostly a standard kitbash, but I did fix his eyes (last week). I put a G.I.Joe iron-on on his T-shirt. I superglued some ammo onto Joe’s Dollar General Duke belt.
It is hard to see in the pics but there is a pair of Eagle Force goggles around his neck JOE COLTON

Got another figure that has been in the batter’s circle for donkey’s (sorry, been watching a lot of Britbox). As would be expected, I have been making Cobra Commander V1 concurrently with Cobra Commander V2 as they share some of the same pieces. My V2 Cobra Commander is not quite an identical twin to his light blue brother. I actually used the forearms of the blue Dollar General Cobra Commander on this guy and the blues matched up pretty closely. And because there was not a great amount of painting involved, I also used the lower legs of the MTF WWII German Soldier. I thought the Hooded CC could benefit visually by having jackboots. The head itself is a soft resin that was cast in red and the eyes gave me a mountain of trouble. Took me almost the whole night just to do the face. I?m also using the cape from the 50th Black and Red Cobra Commander. I don?t remember which version the staff came from.
COBRA COMMANDER (V2):1984

Parts Bin Build!
I?ve been going through my 1:18 heads lately trying to practice doing eyes. While I was digging through the heads I came across an Anthony Mackie Falcon head. It came with a Doc helmet I needed for a previous custom. I painted the head just for fun and when I had finished it, I really wanted to use it for something. I didn?t want to use the head for another Doc. I already have all the Docs I need. So I went through Yojoe to see who I could make with the Mackie head. I couldn?t really find anybody suitable, so then I thought maybe I could make a Battlecorps version of somebody. I settled on the Blind Master. The comic Blind Master has a mustache and the Retaliation Blind Master has a bushy beard. I though I would split it down the middle and do a small beard. I noticed that doing so made the Mackie head look like Redman. I know that comic Blind Master was shown mostly in white, so I knew I wanted white to be the starting point of the build. I got to piecing him together with what I had handy. I had a small victory in the fact that I could FINALLY put some very old Stormshadow knees and lower legs to use. I had not intended to actually paint any of the figure, but knew I would need to tie the colors together somewhat when the lower legs were decided upon. BLIND MASTER (BATTLECORPS)

Diggin' some of these MTF customs a lot, man! Dusty, CC (both versions), Quick-Kick, Hardball, Alley-Viper and Blind Master are all top-notch! Nice touch up on the Bruce Willis/Joe Colton sculpt, so his eyes aren't so bonkers! And as always, keep up the great work!
