So we all know a bunch of Target preorders - Star Wars, WWE, Marvel - have October 2nd ship dates now. But my Amazing Fantasy Spider-Man Marvel Legends shipped today. They had previously been updated to 9/29.

Dr Mindbender's price continues to drop on AliExpress. Went from ~$115 shipped a month ago to $75 shipped last week to $65 shipped just now. Strongly suspect Pulse will get around to shipping him (or announce a near date) at PulseCon. No other reason for the steep drop but to liquidate now.
Same for the Stinger, but that had a November release date so naturally we should expect to see them pretty soon. Of course, buyer beware at AliExpress, but it's surely very hard to bootleg Classified, so these are highly likely to be authentic figures.

Opened my box of Siegies, but didn't open the figures themselves. They are so beautiful! So glad to have them! I also like that it's number 50. Fitting since it's the greatest troop builder of all time. Imo

I just read about the news that they will only be selling GiJoe on pulse now, that is a serious kick to the balls. We don't always get everything through the pulse website, some Amazon exclusives etc I have had to order from independent UK sellers. Also if a figure sells out on Pulse I will have no backup option now.
If it was because of the exclusives being available here first, they should just restrict sales to the UK and Europe. |

Correct. Target bought them. If they want to throw them on a bonfire so we never get them, it's up to them.
I think this whole situation caught Hasbro off guard. I bet they never thought their 'exclusive' agreement would come back to bite them by the retail partner refusing to ship the product to pre-paid customers once they received it. I guarantee you Hasbro will have more specific contracts in the future: "when we ship you the product - you are REQUIRED to fulfill pre-orders and release product immediately". Something like that. That?s why no one is getting their toys. Groceries take priority over GIJoes every time. I long for the TRU days. |

Not just your opinion! We took a vote at our live Audible Interlude episode at Dragon Con last year and Crimson Guard won #1 on Cobra Commander's Sweetheart Parade (best Cobra troop) by a wide margin.

It's kind of amazing that Classified has survived to be as popular as it is. I do wonder how many more of these disappointments and annoyances that the fans will take. Pre-Orders and waiting almost a year for delivery has really sucked the fun out of the hobby.
As happy as I am for people that are getting their Siegies... it ends up making it 'less special' for me. If I see online photos and reviews for months before I get mine - I've kind of already made up my mind about it. When I finally get it - it gets opened and goes on the shelf. What more do I need to look at it? The figures that have been my favorites are figures I got at the same time as everyone else. Storm Shadow, Gung Ho, Roadblock, Spirit. I saw some pics - but the figures all released at roughly the same time. In a way, it was a shared experience. The whole Joe Community enjoyed receiving and talking about them at the same time. Maybe I'm just weird... but I think this hobby is the most fun as a communal thing. It's about the 'hobby' - not just about 'getting a product'. I'm not sure Hasbro appreciates this. |

And I?ll get dragged for this, but I really don?t understand why people are so upset. We are getting figures on a fairly regular basis. I don?t think my budget could handle a new wave every two months. Simply put, some of us are just fine with the line and how things are going. Shrug. |

Hisstank and online toy discourse is generally negative but I think it?s a big mistake to think this is representative of most collectors, or even most Hisstankers. There are a bunch of us who are fine with waiting. We collect other lines, customize, and dabble in toy photography. That?s how we interact in and build a community, we don?t just buy a figure, put it in the shelf and ask ?what?s next??.

I tried collecting marvel legends a while, but theres so much so often that I just decided it was a bit too expensive for me.
I do kind of like that I'm not bombarded with so much product and I have time and money to buy them all. That said, I think the main problem is the inconsistency. If it was slow distribution, but on a regular, more reliable schedule, I don't think people would be nearly as frustrated, if at all. It's the complete unpredictability and lack of communication on hasbro's part that has people upset. |
