Never liked the actual funskool figures, but these repaints of yours are straight poppin! Loved Stalker (and still do) and BBQ looks awesome. Very clean paint, and the panels look fantastic!

Funskool BBQ! Excellent what a poppin' fresh coat of paint can do! I would have loved that as a repaint in the Modern Era, I even liked the TRU Yellow version. BBQ was one of my very first Joes I bought myself, as most prior to him (other than Blowtorch, & Dusty) were gifts from the holidays etc.... so I have a fondness for him, & my brothers do too. So surprising when he was an early release in Classified... Back on track now lol... the Funskool group shot is not only a feast for the eyes... but also a 6-pack I would like to buy from BBTS! lol... As I have only made Canary Ann in my line up, & love the others you have done & yet, have none of them on my "to do" list currently! They just look so cool all together! Dio-shots are excellent as always in telling a short tale with a great backdrop AND AMAZING COLOR ALL AROUND!!!! XD

Those funschool versions are are bright and fun. I love how you always make later or less popular versions of figures and do different takes! It’s nice to see some of the more obscure stuff in modern form. Also, that’s a good non masked head for BBQ.

Easy one today but one that I?ve been waiting to do ever since I started making a few Funskool customs. Definitely one that others have done previously but since I finally stumbled across a 25th Barbecue, I decided to knock my version out.
So this one is straightforward, just a total repaint of the original 25th Barbecue. Switched the orange to a bright red and then some of the grays to black. After that I had some decisions to make since the colors vary from pic to pic of the Funskool figure. The blues seemed to be anywhere between a sky blue and a bright blue.....since I already did Stalker with a sky blue, I decided to do Barbecue in the bright blue. Then since I wasn?t feeling the flesh tone or pale yellow face mask, I matched the backpack and went with a bright yellow to make him pop. I always thought 25th Barbecue was one of the better 25th Joes so I am really happy with how this one turned out all painted up. Really enjoying him with my group of other Barbecue figures and love seeing all of my modern Funskool guys together. Funskool Barbecue A before & after with the base figure: With my original ARAH Barbecue versions and my extras from the modern line (at some point I?ll redo my Eco Warriors Barbecue because he was so early in my customizing journey): My Funskool group: BATS invading Funskool HQ: Also...I love that you added a group shot of all the Funskool customs.

Took a break from customizing this week but since I realized that I forgot to include my Funskool Snake Eyes in the group pic, I did pull them back off the shelf for some shots:
Thanks! They?ve been a fun group to slowly piece together, look forward to adding more down the road. Quote:
Thanks! Appreciate it! I want to say in the group pic I originally posted, I think Stalker is my favorite. I totally forgot that the sky blue Snake Eyes that I did was Funskool too though and I think he takes the top spot. Those fight scenes were so much fun to shoot too! Quote:

Haha, my buddy who is collecting Classified flipped out over Barbecue getting the early nod over guys like Mutt. Then I think I just made him mad when I talked about liking Barbecue more than Mutt as a kid. Thanks! Haha, I would have been all in on Funskool 6 pack repaints from Hasbro! Instead I?m gonna have to do them all myself! Haha, gives me a reason to make some characters who I would typically skip over. Appreciate it! Super fun pics to take and the bright colors bouncing off the real world style backdrop made me laugh. Quote:
Yeah, really liking that head for Barbecue.....now I need an unmasked version so I can see it as the character more! Quote:
I agree, 25th Barbecue was one of the best figures in that line. Really captured the look and feel of the ARAH version perfectly. As usual, I'm not overly familiar with the Funskool version, but I can definitely see why you were a fan with the bright colors. Another good one!
Also...I love that you added a group shot of all the Funskool customs. Thanks! Haha, Hasbro did the heavy lifting with the awesome 25th build so I?m happy that I could bring it home with the paint job. Really fun one to paint up. Appreciate it! So much fun to bring all of those Funskool figures together for the group shot! ?????? As always, thanks for all of the comments / conversation!

Appreciate it! Thanks! Haha, thanks! It?s always fun to get that type of reaction, especially on a Funskool guy since those are typically overlooked as a whole. Much appreciated! Glad you enjoyed it!

Up next is one that I hadn?t really planned on making, it came about when I picked up a $3 Catwoman figure on clearance as an inpulse buy since I figured that I could probably think of something to do with it. So I stared at her on my desk for a bit and ultimately decided that the catsuit & boots really only worked for Baroness so maybe I would just leave it stay as Catwoman and put it with my Batman stuff.
Then I did some digging and remembered Chameleon, Baroness? sister and a Joe who goes undercover to infiltrate Cobra. She was a figure that I assumed I?d make at some point, but as I looked at this figure and at the original o ring....I have extra v1 Baroness figures because of the many versions that Hasbro did during the modern collection so I decided, maybe do Chameleon after her mission portraying the Baroness is over and she rejoins the Joe team with her own distinct look. So off we went! My head cannon said that Chameeleon would keep the style of uniform that she wore posing as the Baroness but that she would restyle her hair & ditch the glasses since those were only worn as part of her disguise. The next step was to pick a base color, I already did Baroness in bright blue & red with previous customs so I decided on a gray catsuit for her. Then I wanted to give her an accent color that brightened her up a bit that I also hadn?t used for a Baroness so I went with an odd blue color that I have for her boots, gloves & the design on the pants of her uniform. Thinking that i still needed to break the colors up more, I followed the design pattern up her torso and around her neck. Then I painted her belt and design on her knees black. Feeling that she was too much like Batman now, I decided to sculpt pouches on her arms & a thigh strap and then added a Marauder holster to her leg in order to make her more military looking. The end result was something that I really liked. It was a total paint as you go, just keep tweaking type deal but I think I accomplished the goal of transforming this from a jet black catsuit to something that works as the character and will be fun to look at alongside my 2000?s Joe customs. G.I. Joe Chameleon (Joe version) The transformation since Steel Brigade likes them and I totally remembered to take a pic before painting! Haha. In her Cobra disguise / with her Sister: Alongside my other Baroness customs and the Hasbro Ultimate v1 Then being discovered and rejoining the Joe?s, I really want to do a full comic but it was already multiple parts when thinking out the pics & scenes in my head. Haha. Maybe down the road:
