If you see an accurate tattoo, either the player has an agreement with the tattoo artist or they paid the tattoo artist. but damn, for 50 bucks they couldn't figure out how to get the tattoo artists settled? thats more important than having the Nike logo on the uniforms. also, its crazy to think that tattoos are copyrighted.. the people with the tats on their bodies don't own the work?? so everytime a famous person with a tattoo goes on tv the artist gets a royalty? what's next, plastic surgeons gonna get paid for their "art" on actresses? |

Wow those Starting Lineups are underwhelming. Had previously been interested in a Damian Lillard, but considering how these turned out, I'm not too disappointed he was left out.
Give me the Steel Curtain Steelers Defense of the 70's and I'd pre-order the lot. Random, I know. My anticipation for Indiana Jones is rapidly increasing. Absolutely loved the 3.75 stuff from 2007. Still have much of it on display (love that cargo truck with "real cloth" I hope the line dips into the legacy movies. Pipe-Dream: Indiana Jones line is successful enough to warrant a Haslab. What that would be I don't really care; would back 3 of em'. |

interesting article.. thanks for posting. the article does mention Lebron James' artist trying to sue a video game and losing.. but some wrestlers' artist sued and won.. so its probably clear as mud.

Exactly. Which is why Hasbro just said "F-it" and decided not to bother.

https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/bu...ver-ii-203377/ The answer is if you're a millionaire buy the intellectual rights to whatever your artist is etching on your body. |

I for sure want Raiders Indy, ToD Indy, and even a Last Crusade Indy with his necktie. As for bad guys, the only ones I think make really cool figures are Mola Ram and the Thugees and maybe some generic "German soldiers." Marian, Sallah, Marcus, Belloq....all very crucial and fun characters in the movies but not exactly exciting action figures. |

The problem with an Indiana Jones line two fold:
1. Every figure is GUARANTEED to be a peg warmer besides Indy himself. 2. The figures that probably wouldn't pegwarm: German Soldiers, will most likely NEVER be made. Seriously, I can just see Target and Walmart flooded with Marian, Selah, Belloch and Toht's for months and months. That said, I am ALL in. Still, an expansive Indiana Jones action figure line is just not "toyetic". |

Package the lesser Indy characters with sections of certain iconic settings or items to ensure better sales.

Every individual team Instagram account with a Starting Lineup figure and the official NBA store is blasting the preorder availability on instagram. I have a feeling Hasbro isn’t as dumb as we think. Cynical, yes, but not dumb. If I’m a casual Sixer’s/Embiid fan, $50 for a piece of sport’s memorabilia is nothing.
I hate the price with a passion but I preordered Steph Curry because he is a Bay Area legend and I want him on my desk. Last edited by TheSteelBrigade; 09-22-2022 at 09:53 PM.. |
