Alyosha (half of DNL) has loved that character for a while and used to sell his own cast kit. Seems FMF and DNL came to an agreement to produce that one character. |

I thought DNL had released or planned to release a EF gold Wild Bill and Redwing in collaboration FMF.
I don't have much love for the original gold designs, but that Wild Bill mold looks good. Sundown is definitely bought. Hopefully FMF can find a way to pull off Long-Arm or BP Vess. I want those the Sci-fi inspired figures, but I'm a lil tapped out with all the other EF figures on order. Maybe if more of the fiction is revealed I'll order a few more. I'd really like the Nemesis II, but I'll have to try to recreate it using the original Nemesis. |

Even if the tooling is paid for the new batch of manufacturing plastic and worker time still need to be paid for. Down-time in a factory is *always* a lost-time-and-money factor that gets computed as part of the negotiations whether it's worth the factory's time to switch out equipment and supply plastics to make a different product. That's the first step to computing the Minimum Order Quantity where the factory starts to turn a profit. Once the factory makes a profit, the creator/license owner corporation/retailer can start to make their profit.

There's a lot of set-up and staging work in a production run. For each figure, there are probably somewhere north of 300 discreet steps (injecting the plastic, cleaning up parts, paint operations, assembly, QA, and packing). Also, there are minimum orders with the printing companies to make the card backs. It's a lot of work and planning and training human beings to perform the steps. It's just not efficient or practical to make less than a minimum of 250-350 units, even if it's just a repack of a previously released figure.

With parts tooling being the big hurdle, if any COPS were possible, these two might be the most doable. Except for Bulletproof's abdomen, I could see the rest of the parts having good reusability for Eagle Force. |

Yeah, I would think so, at least from CFT's perspective. Marshal Sundown seems like a happy convergence of CFT having many of the parts already and FMF the license.

Except for Bulletproof's abdomen, I could see the rest of the parts having good reusability for Eagle Force. Dr. Bad Vibes might be possible too at some point. Just because I imagine there will be enough mad scientist parts floating around at some point thanks to all the various sub lines FMF has going. Last edited by Zeroblue2099; 09-16-2022 at 05:13 AM.. I'm not really interested in John Strong since I already have BFS comic Flash Gordon and want to get the movie version of Flash when he comes out. That being said, I think that Prince Sarxek will work as a "general" type to BFS Ming. Maybe as a stand-in for Prince Kro-Tan from Defenders of the Earth.
Agreed on Sarkex. Depending on the head one uses he can be Ming's hench-assassin, unworthy son, or Guard Captain. If we could get the CLAW Henchmen color-reveresed I'd buy 10 but I'm not a fan of that much yellow so I'm skipping them entirely. I'm not sure what I'll do with Lash Lightning. He's giving me Legion of SuperHeroes vibes like he's the son of UltraBoy and Wildfire. Cmdr Eagle will look cool with the red bubble dome. Can't wait for the first pic of him. |

Yeah. My thoughts too. BP Vess would probably be just a regular suit possibly with a vest accessory.

Yeah. I ordered the small stylized five pack. I'd prefer more of those over 5PA 6" figures. Could build a small shelf of them.

The henchmen were originally planned years back for a different FMF Kickstarter and did have inverted colors: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...TCt92IXrGQpokY I guess they figured that it was too close to a Hydra soldier. |
