Alright, so not 80s at all, but I decided to just drop some of my upcoming customs here in this thread. So, my next handful of customs will be from some other genres like pulp fiction and 60s and 70s figures.
As I started reading about Doc Savage and discovered he was basically the perfect human and stood 6'8 and weighed in at 275 lbs I knew he would be a challenge to make and have him keep that size and along with the iconic ripped shirt and his bronze skin. I sculpted the pec muscles and the ripped shirt and the hair. It didn't turn out terrible and I learned from my first experience sculpting ripped clothing so that is a positive. Doc Savage With some other great pulp characters (only Lone Ranger, Tonto and Mandrake are customs besides Doc) While I've made customs of Flash and the Phantom for my Defenders of the Earth customs I went with their Bossfight more pulp appropriate costumes here.

One of my favorite 70s shows that I watched in re-runs as it was off the air barely before I was born was the Six Million Dollar Man. I always wanted a toy of Steve Austin, but by the 80s the figure was long out of production and eBay wasn't a thing yet so finding older toys wasn't an easy task. I never had the 70s figure, but I finally have him in modern 4 inch scale (which is the best scale anyway...right). I also have him pictured with the cartoon the show inspired Bionic Six.

Fresh Monkey provided a great base for him. I just had to do some sculpt on the torso to make it look like a track suit and then find a head that resembled Lee Majors and a little painting.

Finally getting to dig back in.....you dropped so many that I missed!
That Lone Ranger is so cool! Love seeing him next to the vintage. Dime Novel really put together great parts to make him and he looks fantastic on your vintage Silver. .....then your rework of him is even better! The trio shot with BF?s Zorro & Tarzan is so cool! I agree on Indy, we received some good looking ones from that toyline in the 2000?s but they don?t scale well with a lot of the newer releases. Love your modern take, those are really great parts for him. He looks so badass in the iconic pose with the whip. Wow, that?s a fantastic Hardtop! LOVE how you clipped the MTF straps. I need to find someone to do that on ASAP because I have so many of those sitting in bins! Then the bits of sculpt the further hide the Marauder trademarks came out really great. Absolutely nailed his look and he makes for an awesome pairing with the Payload. Tonto is fantastic as well! You are crushing this heroes series, BF really lit a fire under you with this line and you are crushing it with your additions! The sculpting on him is so good and you painted that head perfectly. Love the shots of the Ranger & Tonto on their horses. I really need to dig into those D&D figures that came next, then can?t wait to check out those Joe yearbook pics. Absolutely crushing it in your thread!

Mattel released a line of action figures in the 1960s based on the space craze at the time. Major Matt Mason Mattel's Man in Space. Matt Mason was the main astronaut, but the line had several other characters in the line that just had different colored suits really. I obviously was way too young to have had any of these figures growing up, but was intrigued by them as I came across them online. I decided to add Matt Mason to the project even though like The 6 million dollar man he is an outlier from the 80s.
Major Matt Mason With some 80s Space guys Starcom and Joes

Not very familiar with the D&D line beyond just knowing you said making the kids was a STRUGGLE. Haha, glad to see they came out looking epic!
Bobby looks great! Love the face, killed it with the paint job, so much charm added to the expression, really great sculpting for his uniform and then his uniform pal is awesome! Did you sculpt the hair to combine with the helmet? That looks like a single piece.....the hair is so good. Shiela is FANTASTIC! Again with an incredible expression on her face, then her outfit looks amazing! Is that just the BF zombie skirt, a cloak and the rest sculpt? Her torso & sleeves are perfect and I LOVE those boots! Haha, sculpting is getting so good that I really have trouble figuring out which are off the shelf parts now. Haha, Presto is so cool! He?s the design I?m most familiar with from the cartoon and you crushed it! His head with the hair & glasses are so damn cool, then that?s one of the best cloth good fits that I?ve seen. Love everything out him. Eric came out great with those parts, they were tailor made for his character. Nailed the build and that?s a great paint job. The sculpting for the gloves and the wrap of his cloak are soooo good! Diana is fantastic! You blended her sculpt in so well, looks seamless with the actual plastic bits. The head looks great, your paint job makes it look totally new. The coloring on Hank is awesome! Loving the green color you got. Then the giant rivets are fantastic. He may have just leapfrogged Presto as my favorite of the group with that sculpted wrap around his neck. Venger is so cool! Such a fun idea how you combined the upper body with the sculpt. Another where his face is just so good. You are really excelling at the painted faces, making me jealous! Then the dungeon master.......I thought it was a Yoda as the base.....ABSOLUTELY KILLED IT! He?s so cool! Haha, love this little guy! The mods you made to the body, sculpting, paint job, all fantastic! That is such an incredible group of customs! They look so amazing together, glad you were able to knock out the group with such success because I know you said some of them were really tough to get done. Thanks! I thought you?d be running out of stuff to make by now......nope, now you?ve added the 70?s! I can?t wait until you start on the 90?s! I?ll let you borrow my neon paints! Hahahaha.

The Bravestarr redo is fantastic! The original was really good but that new one! Just totally nailed his look! The sculpting for his torso bits came out looking amazing. Like the new brighter colors as well.
Thirty-Thirty is so funny with his rifle! That?s just so awesome. I still don?t know how you made that figure, like a modern marvel of sculpting. Haha. The Judge is another super cool design. Crushed it with her head, love the face, then the sculpted bits really pop off of the black uniform. Handlebar! Wow! You are becoming the go-to for these larger figure builds! The thicker body is fantastic with the sculpt added onto it....but the Head! It looks straight out of a cartoon! Absolutely loving what you did there! And the mustache! Haha, giving Dime Novel a run for their money with the old timey facial hair! Tex looks fantastic with Brave and then the group shot.....so colorful & unique! I absolutely love it! Okay, I think you twisted my arm enough, I?m gonna make an effort to finally watch this show! At least a few episodes while I?m currently watching other stuff.
