If the damage isn't that bad, you can always donate extras to Toys for Tots at Xmas time too.

Is that what happens to them? Seems counterproductive for them to pay return shipping on something they'll have to pay someone to process and throw in the trash.

There's no way to know which items for sure but look it up sometime, big retailers often toss returns because it's not worth their time orcthe cost to sort & restock their returns

I believe you. It still seems absurd for them to pay to get it back and discard the item. Unless they need to see and document it for some sort of insurance purposes.

Which brings us down to the most basic question we'll never know the answer two: if it's not worth it to restock and resell returns, why would a retailer put itself in a position to sell a product with a higher than average likelihood of being returned by virtue of *BOTH* the product design (crappy crappy super crappy cardbacks) and also the target market (collectors who want to display the complete product in the packaging)? It's like they consciously decided to spend money to ship a product to you for free knowing they wouldn't be able to fulfill the very product promise in the first place. Wal-Mart won't sneeze at an overall product loss in the tens of thousands of dollars, but nevertheless it remains a perilously stupid decision for their buying team (and, to a lesser extent, stupid for Hasbro to not have seen this coming as we all did).

Here's how I received Baroness from Pulse. Stuffed in an undersized box to the point where they had to bend her card to get her in there. Am I really paying $50 a year for free shipping to get something like this? It's badly creased where it was forced in the box.

Thicker cardboard won't fix sloppiness.

Never dealt with a Pulse return before. I hope it's not too painful. I would keep it to open but the logo is missing paint on the right side. Last edited by Trigger2K; 08-19-2022 at 04:01 PM.. |

You'd think it would be basic common sense if something doesn't fit in the box without bending it to get a bigger one. At least they didn't fold the card in half.
