Yes. 4 x 18 does equal 72.
If I'm understanding correctly you're saying 1/18 scale and 4" scale are the same scale. That 25th Destro at 4.35" is 6'6"? Storm Shadow at 4.1" is ~6'2"? If 4" is supposed to be 6'0" that's fine, but Hasbro didn't follow that rule at all. Which was my point, that 4" scale doesn't mean anything because nothing in it follows any set rules for human height and proportions. |

Hasbro Star Wars figures are scaled at 3.75" = 6'. Instead of the 4" = 6' scale. So they are meant to be a little smaller.

So TVC is 1:19.2 scale?
Edit: Stormtrooper (Remnant) is 3.9" so that would put it at ~6'3" in 1/19.2 and ~5'10" in 1/18. And that's with helmet and boot height factoring in so I can buy that they're 1/19.2. I think the newest TVC figures are more in line with true 1/18. Meaning, take actor's height and divide by 18 and you get the total inches the figure is. And I think this is because the sculpts are accurately scaled down Black Series sculpts which are true to actor/character height. Which makes me super appreciative. Either way Joytoy/etc are not 4"=6 foot either. Like I mentioned in previous posts the females in these lines are all over 4inches and are then over 6 feet tall. It seems to me that "4 inch scale" is just "make them all close to 4 inches tall" just like 3.75 ARAH are all close to 3.75. That was fine 40 years ago but I'd prefer accurate heights and proportions now, personally. To that end, Fennec and Reva seem to be the first accurately scaled 1/18 females from any line. No action figures are made to scale, especially as the source materials rarely hold a consistent scale themselves. Instead action figure lines attempt to maintain relative sizes as much as the buck system allows. The whole 3.75", 4", 1/18 size category exists to sell reasonable sized vehicles, not fulfill some pedant's need for exact measurements. If scale is important then statues, model vehicles, gundams, and trains are the way to go. |

I'm not losing sleep over it. But digital sculpts can be scaled ad infinitum. And other lines handle scaling better. Joytoy can do better.
