Considering these guys are in cahoots with Skeletron, which was an open backerkit, I think its safe to say this one will be too. Just need to wait for the backerkit to go up, which I'm guessing is going to be conveniently timed for AFTER the Operation Recall KS ends.

It somewhat kicks the legs out from under those who took advantage and backed originally (assuming they offer all figures from the campaign including unlocks exclusive to the original campaign- although that isn't likely), but I wouldn't disagree with any method that gets more money into their coffers and puts more Longbow into the hands of collectors.

But don't the original backers get the benefit of figure packages that result in better deals? My understanding with the backerkits is that you can add additional figures at the full cost of single figures, not add on the different packages offered during the campaign, so the original backers (who ordered more than single figures) are still coming out ahead. Feel free to correct me if I have this wrong.

Cheaper to get in during the kickstarter, cheaper but less cheap to get in during the backerkit, slight discount even still on “preorders”. https://roboskull.backerkit.com/hosted_preorders/436202

Posted by Grindstone Toys Aug 11, 2022 View on Kickstarter IT'S TIME TO CHOOSE YOUR FIGURES! The Backerkit surveys are almost ready to go out! The Backerkit Pledge Management system requires that we do a "Smoke Test" where 5% of the surveys are sent out at random. So that means 5% of you will receive your BackerKit survey later today! If you receive your BackerKit survey email today, please respond to it as soon as you can. And remember, you can change your response selections later, so no pressure! Trying it out and providing any feedback (in case something seems unclear, confusing, or just plain wrong) will help us move more quickly to the full BackerKit launch, which should happen within a couple of days of today's Smoke Test. If you don't get your survey today, don't worry. Once we've completed the Smoke Test, the rest of the surveys will be sent out. You will receive an email with a link to your survey, and when you access it, your reward package and any add-ons from Kickstarter are pre-loaded. This system will allow you to pick the figures you want as part of any "choose-a-figure" package or add-on. It will also let you add additional items to your order if you wish to. The Backerkit will close on November 15th, 2022. When this closes all orders will be locked-in and finalized. If you have any issues, don't hesitate to reach out to us or to Backerkit support. NEW BACKERKIT ITEMS All-new items can be added to your order during the Backerkit, like the Standard Edition of the CALLSIGN: LONGBOW? Comic, new Patches, and Accessories. As a thank you for your support, we are excited to include the 11th figure to the line-up, that Kickstarter backers will have the option to select for their "choose a figure" if they would like to! We've got a lot of feedback on this one, so here he is: The KRASNY-NINJA are the elite martial arts soldiers of the Soviet Union. They train in some of the USSR?s harshest environments in a wide range of Martial Arts. Now you can control these formidable ninja warriors by choosing them as part of your pledge (for those with choose-a-figure options), or adding them to your order (at an additional charge). I love it. I'm kind of tempted to give them rifles and not use them as ninjas though.

Cool! I was never a fan of the ninja, but I am glad for those who wanted him. Will it still be included if you got a 1-of-everything? I had my troop builders carefully planned out without him (I got an extra 4 or 6, can't remember which) and if I automatically get him it will throw those numbers off. Minor nitpick.
