Yeah $34 is fine for Gregson, it's a good figure. Would really like these to be back around $25/each like they were a few years ago. But, inflation. Rego is the same price and is also decent.
I don't have any of this set yet but they look good too for the same cost. Lately I've been getting my Joytoy figures/mechs from ebay for 10-20% cheaper than amazon. 5zerotoys and Kokomotoys have been reliable. |

Speaking of ebay; I picked up a Maintenance Team A set awhile back and pulled this. Which was surprising because I really never get chase items and I haven't seen any non-promotional photos of the figure before.

Damn. I've lost so many auctions trying to get that one. Mostly because I wanted to slap a Bo-Katan head on it.

So do the joints on these really disintegrate? I only have an Acid Rain Instructor Kelsey sitting unopened at home, and just noticed Agent Jessie showed up in my Loot Pile, which makes me realize I forgot I had ordered that ages ago!
Was looking at those Maintenance sets to go with my Gundam GMG figures to fill out a display but if the joints are trash, ew. I'll pass. |

Way out of scale for my preferences (all these Joytoy female figures are taller than six feet in 1/18) but here's what it looks like with zero modifications. Maybe it'll help you decide if you still want to pursue it or not.

I have.. way too many of these figures for customs so I just swap them out and they used to come with extras. The more recent releases don't come with a baggie of extra joints though so yeah I'd advise some caution. I also am not a big fan of the maintenance sets. The hips/pelvis and torsos are very different from all the other releases with really long inseams, narrow waist and wide hips. They look alien to me and the paint apps are sparse. I basically have them all separated for individual parts and joint spares. But everyone's preferences are different and for what it's worth; none of my maintenance figures are broken (yet). But they're not that old yet either. Last edited by NaClty; 07-28-2022 at 02:34 PM.. |

Guess I won't bother. It's a shame because my GMG Sayla figure looks...fat for some odd reason (not sure what Bandai was thinking) but she'd look like a towering giant with that body! |

It's a huge bummer because even Planet Green Valley have these giants of female figures. Hasbro, who I've completely abandoned in the past several years, is actually putting out correctly scaled 1/18 figures for women in the recent waves (not including this Bo Katan). But for visual reference, This Boba figure pictured, when scaled accurately for 1/18 becomes 5'8" which is the 96th percentile for height in US women. This figure (and all joytoy, MTF, PGV females) towers over him.
Those MSG figures look interesting but are crazy expensive. How tall are they compared to TVC? Last edited by NaClty; 07-28-2022 at 05:35 PM.. |
