Hey y’all.
So here’s another custom of mine, one I actually completed in the fall of 2021, but got busy with work, life etc. that I never made an effort until now to share it. During the height of the pandemic, as with many folks, I was looking for something to keep me busy; something creative, ideally. I stumbled on this video on Adam Savage’s YouTube channel about making scratch built models using styrene. It’s something I’ve seen others do before, and for one reason or another, thought was beyond my abilities. That all being said, after watching the video, and having built numerous model kits as a kid in the 70s and 80s, I thought I’d give it a shot. And what better way to do so than by doing something overly ambitious and complicated. I plan on doing a longer post in the “in-progress” customs thread walking through all the steps to get to the final product you see here. Long story short, here’s what I wanted to accomplish:
The KILLER TWIN is named so, both because of the bike’s motor type, and also because it can simultaneously kill targets in front of it and behind it. So what started out as a loose v-twin motorcycle from the Marvel Legends Legendary Riders Punisher set and a 1/12 scale Gatling gun, both bought separately on eBay; various plastic and styrene rods & sheets; some string and sections of paper clips; glues and paints; and finally, adding the amazing Classified Major Bludd, became the COBRA KILLER TWIN: The front facing Gatling gun is removable: The rear facing auto gun on the steady rig is removable to become a handheld assault rifle. The clip is removable, as are the extra clips in the rack on the left side of the bike: The cockpit controls include a smartphone that shows targeting and ammo supply for both guns. I also added a connection cable from the phone to both guns. And as a motorcyclist of many many years, I couldn’t stand the fact that it had a front disc, but didn’t have a front brake caliper. So, I added one, along with brake lines going to both ends. Also, I added a clutch cable, of course. There are definitely things I wish turned out better, but overall, I’m super happy with it. Best of all, I learned a TON through making mistakes and minor mishaps, and I’m ready to take on more. Thanks for looking. Cheers. Last edited by Julius Downey; 05-24-2022 at 12:53 AM.. |

This is the coolest thing I've seen on the Tank in a long time which is saying something... Keeping the guns removable is killer! This and your Rock 'n Roll with RAM Cycle make for an awesome debut here. Looking forward to seeing more of your work, hopefully soon

The attention to detail with the scratch built pieces are amazing. The overall concept is really cool and it looks great with Bludd on it.

"Whose motorcycle is this?"
