The engines are attached by 2x Philips screws from the inside of the fuselage. The engine intake is a separate piece molded in blue but the engine assembly is glued together. The two screws are still visible in the fuselage.

Floor separated from the slider. Note the small spring in the center that was around the pin.

Uncut slider reinstalled in the fuselage. First image is fully aft. Second fully forward.

Flipped the floor over and reattached it to the footrest.
Popped it back inside for a possible seat with back bulkhead. No cutting other than around the rivets but see areas that will be improved with cutting. This is a durable and nicely engineered toy. The canopy catch could be a little longer. The voids on the inside on the landing gear and non-rolling wheels are the only nit pick that I can think of. How it is secured inside the box is interesting. You get some blue plastic gribbles that match the bottom of the fuselage. Perhaps use them as hard points for wing stores. If they were taller could be used as maintenance stands.

And Jazwares Fortnite Dark Voyager doesn't seem to fit in a seated position.
With some cutting he might fit but think that helmet will be a problem.

Okay, so the cockpit is actually designed for the pilot to lay down?
How does a 4 inch ME Joe look in the cockpit? Better yet, how does a vintage o-ring Joe fit in the cockpit? |

Thanks for all the pics. I'm considering getting this, but to mod it for 3.75" figures though.

The cockpit was originally designed for a plus 5 inch Buzz and his folding wings to recline back with a claw arm around his waist and his feet pinned into the foot rest. Pull the dark gray handle in the back and the canopy open, Buzz pops up and the wings unfold. Sorry that I have neither of the figures you requested for fitting but I did stuff a BAT in.

Two Classified figures will fit in Tandem.
The only thing cut is the Slider bar. The key to having the pilot sit more upright is to have their head centered in the void on the bottom of the canopy. But both Duke and Scarlett inside with Duke "holding" the controls. With a second seater just need to keep their legs out of the track that the slider moves fore and aft in on the sides of the cockpit.
