As for Hall of Heroes, everyone out there is free to them. I'm not going to get any of them. Besides, I thought HoH was advertised as a way for people who were late to the line to get figures they had missed? Wasn't that why we could only vote on figures that had been released up to that point?
In that light, I'm actually impressed with a majority of the offerings, and had the second round of 5 packs NOT been released, I for one would have ended with practically the entire assortment (the Zartan and 82 SE still suck and are a waste, IMO) During voting, fans could vote on EVERY 25th/modern figure through wave 11. So it was fans that didn't get Major Bludd in here, it was fans who voted in two Snake Eyes. Again, a LOT of those voting ASSUMED that those early figures would not reappear.

I am amazed that so many of you are such big joe lovers but bitch about everything that comes out. If they gave them to us like this in the first runs, you would bitch about too many things that you might lose, or with the vehicles and movie line, hell, they are not even out yet and some say they suck, then don't buy them. I think they look cool, and the vehicles I don't like, I just don't buy, I simply leave them for the kids to buy, instead of buying and hording like some. All in all, while this site is great for information, I find that most of the people on it either don't have a good thing to say about much of anything, or they are horders who really don't need 20 hisstanks, but have stupid money to waste and are disillusioned over the thought that one day, GI JOE toys will make me rich. By the time these toys may someday be worth money, you could only use the riches to buy your medication and Depends, damn you people for taking the fun out of collecting.

Well if you wanted a HOH bat figure too late......sold out at HTS. Looks like these are moving whether we all like them or not. I like them for the MOC appeal, will make these my default displays. Bought one of each, couldn't help it.

Not at all, the Hall of Heroes voting was expressely for fan chosen figures to create a tweaked assortment for the spring. In fact, Hasbro's wording strongely pointed to Hall of Heroes as being largely a repaint run with modified packaging.

Anyway, I don't think anyone is bitching about G.I. Joe, they're bitching about how Hasbro operates. In some ways, their complaints are justified, but in other ways they are not. Some of us didn't rush out and buy every new comic pack to get Doc, but most of us got ours. I don't care for the Para-Viper or the Wraith or the Bazooka Trooper, so I didn't buy them. I didn't complain about them being made, they just don't jive with what I'm looking for in my collection. Most people who aren't completeists don't have much to say about figures like these being made because in the long run they know they'll hold on to that money for the figures they do want in the next wave or the wave after that. As far as collecting as an investment is concerned, I've got the feeling that most people here are experienced enough with the modern state of action figures that they don't really think these things will be worth a house in 20 years time. I doubt that's why most of us do it. |

Right now we are talking about the HoH figures, what people have disliked in the past is irrelevant. |

Another thing to remember is that while fans many not have EACH voted on both SE figures, it is entirely possible that there were enough cummulative votes to get both in.
