There's no way MTF would make a vehicle so similar to something you can already buy at Walmart.

Id say a Willy?s MB, but those are kinda boring. I guess I should answer the original question: It depends on the vehicle/playset. The VAMP I can build all day long. But I remember my Moray had some warpage in the lower hull preventing a secure joint to the upper hull, I’d have appreciated a factory joining if it prevented that bad joint. I’d definitely prefer easy disassemblythough, no glue or sonic welding. Last edited by txbart; 01-26-2022 at 10:43 PM.. |

Using the VAMP as an example here. If it was a case of building your own VAMP, with multiple body color choices, multiple interior options, multiple wheel options, multiple weapon and gear options, then they would have something WallyWorld and Hasbro doesn't. If they had, say, an Arctic VAMP or a Tiger Force VAMP, etc., I think it would attract collectors. Might even be cool to be able to buy battle-damaged panels.

At the very least we know it will come without the decals applied. That's a big selling point for me on it. I'm still debating the cobra markings or making Iranian markings for it.

I?m still kind of a “model kit” sort of fellow. I?m looking really hard at the Trumpeter 1:16 MRAP and M-ATV.

I never had the Snowcat so I picked up the Forever Clever version from Amazon. I notice the prices on that whole line have gone down (10-13%). I mention this because it seems like a harmless option for vehicle builders, not just figure collectors.

I was surprised to find how many licensees there have been for Joe vehicles.
