Hey,
So, recently sigma 6 came up in the classified thread. People wondering if the design appeal was to a certain age group. I never really watched Sigma 6 but I like the BAT design. I'm 35 and got my first joe at 3 yrs old (I literally remember being in the seat of the shopping cart at Kmart and my grandmother buying me Downtown after I picked him). I may have been closer to 4 cause I remember my 3rd birthday party and the tmnt I got from my aunt. Am I the "youngin'" ? I mean internet forums are "old school". I was the right age for the DIC cartoon. If you don't want to give an age range (within 5 yrs, you sarcastic f*cks,) lol, is fine. Just curious. I know that a lot of ppl have been with the line since before 3 3/4 was a thing. Last edited by Lissangelm; 01-29-2022 at 05:06 PM.. Reason: English error |

I'm 45, and have been with it right from the start in 82. Regarding Sigma 6 specifically - I always kind of liked them - especially SE/SS I thought they did a good job on. I never had any, but appreciated what they were trying to do.

Will be 40 in a couple months.
Saw Sunbow and later, Dic. First Joes were Breaker and the Crimson Twins. Don't remember how I got Breaker, I was really young. Still remember walking into the store and getting my Grandpa to buy me Tomax and Xamot at 3 or 4. I'm sure it was the shiny mirror design that drew my attention. Got Falcon and Ice Viper at a swap meet/flea market called First Monday in Scottsboro. Also got Dial Tone new not long after. Then got Hardstop, Hydro Viper, Iron Grenadier, Lightfoot, Repeater, Road Pig, and Shockwave new for Xmas. Got the Mamba, Persuader, Skystorm X-Wing, and Mobile Command Center with their drivers. I really cleaned up in 89, getting all the regular carded Joes and Cobras except Recoil. Also got Slaughter's Marauders Barbecue, Python Officer, Python Trooper, Condor Z-25, Evader, Raider, Hiss II and their drivers. Along with the S.L.A.M., Tiger Fish, and Tri-Blaster.

Sigma 6 was never nor will be my hill to die on. I honestly don't recall how se/ss were portrayed in sigma 6. Resolute (*angelic choir*) and renegades are the ones I most recently watched (on tubi) after going through sunbow and the movie. |

I'm 42. I remember my older brother playing with the '82 Joes. By '87, it was my time!

I was born in 1975 and the straight arms hit around my 7th birthday and it was love at first sight.

I got the condor as well but I remember the pilot better than the plane. Overlord? Golds and crimson, balding, monocle? |

Started with the 82 and stopped in 89. Never cared for the movies cartoons or any of the comics besides just getting my GI Joe fix. Very sill and campy.
the OG issues from Marvel were my absolute favorites. Deep dark and pretty violent . The softer Joe got the more I pulled away.
